Just reading the transfer gossip and its all heading towards Ashley Young, i personally think we have decent wingers ie Nani, Valencia, Park & Giggs, is he a replacement for Giggs? I think hes a good player...for Aston Villa..

He may be a replacement for Giggs and besides Park is not a winger.

He would also run rings around Liverfools midfield & defence....

He plays as a wide midfielder but is not a winger.

Young would be a good back up player. £3-5million would be a good price for a player who has frankly proved nothing and villa will replace for less that £250k.

Instead we will end up pay 3 times his value and then some for a player who will warm the bench.

When a player cannot get into the England team ahead of Walcott, who can only run, then he is not United quality and we should stay well clear.

I wouldn't be to hasty in judging Young using his exclusion as an England regular as your argument. Its the coach which selects the team and not the player. I mean if Fabio had any sense the likes of Crouch, Lampard and Glen Johnson wouldn't play for England ever again. Also Gareth Barry??????

I don't see the point of buying Young, who is a good player nevertheless, when there is another player who is probably actually better and would cost less- Charles N'Zogbia. Who has actually proven himself against the big boys, he does seem to play well against us and Arsenal (although is that much of an achievment!? Haha!) and I know there's rumours of his attitude but despite the fact he's been in a relagation threatened team for a while, I don't recall him ever saying he wants to leave and seems comitted to Wigan. Just like Young, he is versatile, can play all along the midfield but out of the two, I'd fancy the wildcard, reminds me of that Andre Ayew of Marseille who really impressed me when we played them in the CL.

The main thing I like about Young is that you get the impression he geuninely enjoys crossing the ball as much as he does scoring goals himself...
He seems like one of those players that listens and learns..

He's done well when you think back to his Watford days.... He'll definately improve if we bring him here, and is pretty versatile..

I'm all for it.. I remember Valencia being called "not our standard" when we showed interest, so lets give him a chance.
He's shown he can do it in the Prem, and will have better teamates alongside him.

    Just my opinion.
