You will always get extreme individuals try something daft for publicity reasons or because they're a bit mental. Not all circuits allow the public to 'storm' the track after the end of the race, but even those that do, the podium is well out of reach of someone lobbing something that could hit a driver in the head. Not worth losing sleep over.
Don't like the booing as it is not Vettel's fault that he is driving a car that is far superior to the rest, as far as I can see it is for the rest of the teams to play catch up and as much as it is a bit disappointing watching Vettel winning with such ease, true F1 fans should appreciate what the RBR team is doing with their strategists, pit crew and most of all their engineering department consisting of Peter Prodromou Rob Marshall and Adrian Newey. These men have taken F1 out of the realms of driver ability and making it about pure engineering.
It was such an adrenaline rush seeing vettel win by 30 seconds, tbh honest if he's that good lets see him go against a half decent teammate
Its hard for teams to catch up when RBR are already far ahead and spending more money than the rest on development. they also have a sister team who are undoubtedly gathering information on their behalf in some minor areas so the main team can focus on the major areas. The playing field needs to be levelled.
Then every team deserves the same money Ferrari gets from FOM and get their own test track in their backyard. Just because you kill somebodies advantages and allow others to keep theirs will never make it an "even field".
We know certain teams get more money just for turning up than a back markers yearly budget. As long as that stays the case there will never be a level playing field.
I like the chap but wouldn't call myself a Vettel fan, booing isn't really the right thing, however, if I was him, I'd take that as a compliment, a bit like football (in most cases), fans don't boo opposition players unless they're a bit special.
Maybe all the other drivers and teams have paid for a squad of boo-boys to see if that can stop Vettel as they've been fast out of ideas for 4 seasons now, or maybe it's just Ferrari, it's the kind of thing they'd do
Im guessing they were Australian as they were chanting in English and its a 'relatively' close F1 venue for aussie f1 fans.
Ah, Australians having a dig at foreign types, how unusual (damn, where is that sarcasm emoticon when you need it)
So are we all just wumming each other and becoming increasingly unaware of our own irony? tis the end!
I wonder how much they were booing Vettel personally or whether they were booing the boredom and predictability of yet another Red Bull walk-over. Actually, I suspect it may be becoming a habit because people see it happen on TV and then decide to repeat it when they're at the race themselves. I also wonder just how monumentally tedious Korea is going to be; I mean, it's **** at the best of times.
