Think we were always set to lose next weekend tbh. Terrible performances this season and they have had a tough season thus far and were bound to pick it up against us, even more so with his sacking.
Might as well chalk this down as a loss then, the way we are, them wanting to play for the new/interim manager..... we have to get the first goal and quickly to deflate that buzz that they will have. EDIT: side note, thought altidore was stupid for joining sunderland and we need him for the WC next year!!!!
Was saying to my Sunderland mate on Wednesday that Di Canio would be on his way out soon. Wish I'd put money on it now. As for Sat, I wouldn't worry about them suddenly improving in quality or moral. My worry is that they'd be free from the nutjob and his crazy antics.
Christ that was quick! I was looking forward to how it would go. He's got lots to learn but I thought he may turn out good.
Was also hoping he would be there til after our match because you know what happens when a manager gets the boot! But it's ridiculous they gave him free reign in the transfer market bringing in 15(?) players in. How was that ever going to work. Some players should never become managers and di canio is a total nut job to boot.
He is a bit mental to be fair. Think he has something about him but he has just gone about dealing with problems with his team very badly. I wouldn't mind betting this is the result of a mutiny.
Seems like one of those managers you either love of hate. Seemed to fall out with players at Swindon and when he fell out, it was a big public falling out. He went to the Prem way too early, from League 1 - Prem after only 1 season wasn't a good move. Reminds me of Paul Ince, did well for first club, then went to Prem way too early and only got the job because of his name, then failed and had to drop back down again after time out.
Yeah this is like Ince. He hasn't exactly come flying back either. I don't really like Ince but I don't know why. Very mouthy.
Publicly slating your players is never a good thing though. You might get away with it in lower leagues but. Not in prem. too many big egos
