    I'm embarrassed being a Sunderland fan tonight. It's shockingly early to do this.

    If the club didnt want him they should have said "thanks and goodbye" in the summer

    This, on so many levels.

    We needed a fresh approach, not another "established" type. A bloke with definite ideas about what he wants and the determination and work ethic required to achieve them. Above all, someone who was prepared to do it "his way". PdC ticked all the boxes and a bad start does not a season make. Sacking him 5 games in? Doesn't make any sense at all to me.

    Roberto di Matteo if they want to continue the foreign influence, or what about a left field appointment in Glen Hoddle? English, with a great track record and plays some amazing football. He will also win us some good PR as an establishment figure and he is still young enough to be in touch with players of today?

    He was out of his league and showed no discernible skill or talent as a manger. He shot himself in the foot by alienating his players. Ellis was never going to put up with such a dilettante.

    Now, hopefully we can find a manager who can somehow claw us out of the bottom three, and I can have my club back.

    Hoddle might be a decent manager if he wasn't such a prick. But his pretentious "karma babble" would get on my tits inside 2 minutes...
