I think PDC has driven such a wedge through the team, made so many mediocre signings, if Sunderland stay up this season it will be nothing short of a miracle. They look the worst team in this league by a mile.

    Toxic.

It's not the 5 games and poor results, it's the acting a complete **** and making the club look ridiculous.

Ellis Short was never going to stand it much longer.

The fact that the media was collectively wishing and hoping he would stay sort of says it all.

If they get Di Matteo in they will survive comfortably.

    Sounds familiar.

Only 2 wins in 13 since appointed, a bit like Brown's later games in charge of City

    Pardon?

With Kinnear and Ashley as his bosses?

You're having a Van Der Graaf.

True. What I was implying is that ordinarily he would have been give a few more games to sort it out (whilst SAFC look for a replacement) before being sacked by mutual consent.

In this case he's just been a total disaster of an appointment and SAFC know it, so have nipped it in the bud before he went into meltdown.

Dude's got issues in his head.

Hollowhead will be the next clown to bite the dust. How do they get appointed in the first place?

    Why would Bruce go back?

He was sacked from the job & secondly, they hate him.

Would Jol move to go there, though?

Avram Grant was on 5 Live earlier saying he'd love another Premier job too.

Poyet has to be the obvious choice?

Havn't seen the early betting odds though.

He meant Newcastle as the post he was replying to had suggested that Pardew was next for the chop.
