Sunderland AFC ‏@SAFCofficial 2m Sunderland AFC confirms that it has parted company with Head Coach Paolo Di Canio this evening.
We could have done with him lasting a bit longer so Sunderland definitely filed a relegation space. Probably Matteo next for them.
Of course he will. He'll be on Five Live right now telling every **** he's nailed on for the job. He can't help himself.
Why don't you think we can stay up on our own merit? I think we have a decent team, the right spirit and are picking up the results we need to.
A farce from beginning to end. Stupid appointment in the first place but to sack him after 5 games!!! Obviously the rumours of losing the dressing room had some substance but trying to stare out the Sunderland travelling army yesterday, then try to explain it away by saying he was absorbing their negative energy didn't help either.
Of course - but it would be simplistic to ignore how the other clubs outside the top 6 are being run.
