We are certainly badly missing Ba's ability to hold the ball and generally physicality up top. If you look around at teams trying to play this 433 they all have that in their armour up top.

Yes, only time he was noticeable was when he gave El Mohamady a free header at goal for their 2nd goal.

Saw Lukaku come on and change the game for Everton yesterday and thought "if only"...

I think we need two strikers now, one to add to our current pool and one to replace Cisse. I've given him the benefit of the doubt for over a season but it was probably blind faith based on his purple patch in his first season.

Bottom line is get Cisse out, get Campbell in. End of. Pardew didn't get his CF, but he does have Campbell who will bust a fcking gut if put on that pitch. He has ability, and may well be young, but give me raw carrot over overcooked turkey any day of the week.

Dropping him isn't the answer, unless you replace him with Shola as the way we play is only suited to a big striker to hold up the ball. He actually did an ok job as the target man on Saturday, but it's a moot point as that's not his game. He succeeded in Germany due to a style of play that suited him, balls played in behind the back four making the most of well timed runs. Sadly for us, our manager only understands pre-90s football league football and we will continue to play in a way that is detrimental to the goal scoring of our front man, move Remy there and they'll be howking the ball in to him, making goal scoring incredibly difficult.

I think it is nothing more than the opposition have worked out how to nullify his strong points and after that he does not have a plan B
