Yeah I wasn't sure how Newcastle would do this season, but (barring their opening day defeat against Man City), they seem to be doing alright. Mainly thanks to HBA though... Awesome, have a good trip Sure you'll enjoy it, whatever the result!
Is backup but can see him playing away games against the likes of Millwall when we need a bit more experience and muscle in the midfield.
Has always reminded me of a poorer version of Mike Stringfellow. Certainly a better signing than Futacs ever was.
Just a couple of chant suggestions ... "He's fat, he's bald, he's surely not THAT old, GTF, GTF" "Are you Barwell in disguise" ...
Having seen him, I dont think I would get away with that. Nice reception for him from both sides yesterday.
Nigel hasnt signed many bad players for us. Everytime he has signed an experienced player they have more then done a job for us. Chris Powell done a job on the pitch and then was a coach. Very well respected and liked here Bruno Berner was brilliant and will go down as a cult hero Paul Dickov didnt do much on the pitch but off the pitch he helped Matty Fryatt no end and helped him become more of a fox in the box. Gary Taylor-Fletcher will be able to help players like Jeff Schlupp and Chris Wood become better players. So even if he doesnt make a major contribution on the pitch he still could prove a worthwhile signing
