Flyer could win £20 million on the Lotto jackpot and still bemoan the fact that Camelot didn't use Guinevere and Set Of Balls No. 3.

No, I wasn't, Flyer, well guessed.

I listened to the radio commentary and followed the comments on Soccer Saturday and those posting onto this site at the time. The consensus was that the Rs we're fortunate to get through another poor 90 minutes with three points and another clean sheet. I'm delighted with that.

Manager Harry Redknapp said he left Joey Barton out of the starting line-up for QPR’s 1-0 win against Yeovil simply to give him a rest.

Barton, who has been a key player this season, came on as a late substitute at Huish Park, where Charlie Austin’s 74th-minute penalty gave Rangers the points.

“Joey has played the last three games and this was our third game in a week,” said Redknapp.

“The one area I’m overloaded in is midfield. I’ve got people like Jermaine Jenas and I’ve got Ale Faurlin not getting a game.

Harold's caught between a rock and a hard place. Plenty on here have noted the lack of cover at RB, CB and striker for weeks. But if H is determined to bring in players of a certain character/personality I suppose he's a bit hamstrung if none of them are available or affordable.

At least Ehmer was on the bench today. Presumably we can get Harriman back if Simpson gets injured.

Have I slipped into a parallel universe? Stan is showing some sign of sympathy for Redknapp! Whatever next?

Thats easy to say when you dont have to watch that tripe, we couldnt even get a shot on target without a penalty.

Im going to do the same thing now and just not bother despite the fact Ive been offered tickets to every home game.
Much better to have a nap and wake up to the result than spend 8 hours of your day to watch the worst football Ive ever seen when you consider the personnel. Every fan on here would be calling for Redknapps head if we were in the bottom half which is where we deserve to be.

He's our manager, and will be for at least the rest of the season. No point whining about him now, I had my say before he joined and during the summer, and its pretty daft continuing when we are unbeaten and top of this hideous league. Just trying to work out how we have ended up so paper thin up front and for most of the back line. Halving the size of the squad had to happen, perhaps we just have to wake up to the fact that we can't afford quality cover for every position.

Good. That's you and Damage now that have decided not to go to any more games and the place will be better off for it.

The team/Club can do without all your negativity.

I respect you and every fan that attends matches, especially away games. Circumstances make it extremely difficult for me to go that much, so all credit to you and the likes of Judo. Performances may well be dire (presumably you mean from an attacking perspective?) but I'm not sure I'd agree with the opinion that the Rs deserve to be in the bottom half of the table. It's a game of defence as much as of attack, and I commend Redknapp's team for the shutouts they've achieved to date, which obviously have contributed significantly to where we see QPR in the league table tonight. Redknapp has (re)built wisely from the back first, as well as looking to populate his midfield with players than can use the ball well.

Nobody disagrees with you that the striker position (particularly) is a concern. We know Redknapp was looking to buy someone on Deadline Day, but had to retain Johnson because it didn't work out. Personally, I'd give Sharif and Hitchcock some game time in the absence of alternatives.

(I liked the inclusion of young Ehmer on the bench today - it's time to give him game time too or let him go... He's been around a while now and is either good enough or not at 21 years.)

Yeh, Ned's injury has left us short on experienced cover both at CB and RB. Let's hope Harriman, Elmer and Sharrif can step up if they are needed.

We are short of forwards, without doubt. But it's our midfield (with its apparent embarrassment of riches according to HR) that is the problem. All credit to Austin, he carved out his penalty with dogged determination. But if our midfield continues to lack creativity, to waste possession, keep passing sideways (and worse backwards) and not run into spaces to get the ball we will not press and take advantage of other teams. HR was shouting at the midfield to open up and stretch out the middle areas, but we were poor.
Makes you wonder if our crowded midfield is part of the problem, and if we pushed Carroll further forward in a more attacking role it might be better - or maybe we need Kranjcar to take over that (dare I say) 'Adel role'. It's not working right now, but thankfully we're scraping 1-0 results.

He got f*kked by Lyn as well, at least they ended up where their owners at the time deserved them to be. I still (almost!) feel sorry for their supporters. However much I hate Lyn and Chelsea, I have always rated Mikkel, but though he was obviously way too good for the Norwegian League it's not easy for me to see how good a player like him really is, playing at that level. I thought Chelsea played him as they have, as he wasn't quite of the quality they expect from their attacking players, look at Sturridege and Lukaku! But you are right he would have fared better almost anywhere else than Chelsea. Strange he is still there.

"Streching out the middle areas" was exactly what Adel did do well in the short time he played today. He somehow didn't look fit enough to get past defenders of that calibre by himself, seemed to realise this, and cut it out when it wasn't working today.

This is totally wrong - Karl Henry is the best player we have had since Gus Caesar and we don't need any of that "creative" nonsense.

I love how TFLS showed literally every yeovil shot but didn't bother with Philips one on one.

In answer to what some of you have said, I watch QPR because I want to watch QPR. If I only wanted to experience success and great football, I'd probably support another team. Believe me, I've seen some ****e at QPR over the years but I will always want to watch QPR if I can. Even cup games. Yes, even cup games.
