Along with Richard Dunne, he really put in some shift today to keep us in this game.

He exudes confidence, and in hindsight it couldn't have been easy for him playing second fiddle to Julio Cesar most of last season. Nice to see that he is definitely our #1 keeper this season.

The current Julio Cesar situation is really bizarre.

    Yeovil manager Gary Johnson said:

"I'm going to be happy tomorrow because when I watch the video I will see we outplayed a quality team.

"We can't keep being unlucky and we don't want to be relegated as the unluckiest team ever.

"We have to start putting our opportunities away, but we're not always going to have Robert Green in goal against us."

    QPR manager Harry Redknapp said:

"It was a tough three points and I thought Yeovil were unlucky to lose the game. They played well and put us under pressure.

"I've been around long enough to know that you rarely come to places like this and turn teams over. Yeovil will give anyone a game as this isn't an easy place to come.

"We defended well again and dealt with a lot of set plays late on. Richard Dunne was immense, and so was Rob Green."

Enough said for all the doubters?

I've always fought Rob Greens corner, gets a lot of bad press. Let there be no doubt, he is a top class keeper. He drops the the odd bollock, but don't all keepers?

Playing great currently, but his confidence is fragile. Of course all keepers make ricks, but his seem to stay with him. Hopefully the next one is a long way off.

Based on his current performances, no reason he couldn't be England's #2?

Especially since Julio Cesar is still Brazil's #1?

He did very well today, made 3 saves that were difficult to get to.

We scored with our only shot on target.

Thems the breaks - like a every good NHL team, especially in the playoffs, you need a hot goalie to backstop the team effort.

Sorry to hear about your traffic congestion woes today - hopefully not caused by our lot with the blue flares?

I'll be the first to admit I thought he was the worst keeper ever last season, but now he's proving people like me wrong, good on him. Rob Green for England!

I meant that he doesn't easily shrug off mistakes. Currently this isn't a problem.

Rob Green is a member of a strong defensive unit. But all the praise for him and Dunne is well deserved today.
I was always confident that the back 5 unit would hold. Wish I had the same confidence that our midfield could meet their expectations.

He was about the worst Keeper ever at the start of last season, but all credit to Harry and his crew, Green's confidence has been hugely boosted since he took over, and his lack of confidence was always his biggest problem.

he seemed very confident on fantasy football on sky during the week. came across very well. admitted his mistakes. made a valid point that strikers can get 10 chances a game and if they score 1 that's all they need but if a keeper makes 1 mistake it gets remembered by everyone.
there's no reason why he can't beat paddys record of 25 clean sheets.
he's a quarter of the way there already

    Mine too

Can you imagine if he did, I'd guess that we would be the only club with two goalkeepers at the World Cup.

He was very solid and confident for West Ham for several years when I used to see him periodically.
He deserved his Englan call up.
That shattered him for a few years.
He is a good keeper deep down.
The shots in this league don't quite fly in with the same venom

We need to stay off his back when he makes his next clanger
Before every corner in the this leasgue this season I think "I'm glad Cesar's not in goal"
The one time I've seen Murphy he was not up to it.

Half way through this thread, I started to wonder... Could we have 2 players on the plane to Brazil?

Realistically (and this is a genuine question), given the dearth of English goalies (and English outfield players, too) in the Premiership, who stands in the way of Green, as a squad choice, English keeper?

Yesterday Green won the game by keeping us in it. Instead of Mr Green should be Mr Clean....err sheet (I know doesn't rhyme with sheet added)
