I think even a Southampton fan would agree that is was a penalty. But it wasn't about the penalty. It was about us not being able to dominate the ball and create anything significant. Today's loss was down to us and Rodgers selection.
This. The penalty wouldn't have made a difference, BR would have just sat watching his four CB's fail for long
...but still behind us despite us playing poorly, having lost a game and not yet had the services of our best player
Today's result and performance was disappointing but it's hardly cause for alarm. We were without our two most creative players. Man Utd will pick up similar results without Kagawa and Rooney. Same goes for Arsenal without Cazorla and Ozil Not that we were without fault, but imo even if we did things differently today, the cons that would have resulted from such differences would probably have balanced out the pros
What? United & Arsenal will lose at home to Southampton if they have a couple of injuries? hahahaha ok mate
It was a bit of a crazy comment but then, so is your response. The point was, most teams would struggle if their two key players are missing.
Feel free to find a comment from me that fits in with that. I've been arguing against fellow fans about this
Good luck with that too. The recent quotes are him talking about staying near the top of the league, he doesn't mention the title
So I see now... up above people were talking about not wanting to draw with so ton... figured we scored. Went to look at news and saw we lost... ... that stinks. Let's see if sharky can bring our season back on course. Could be a rough one... we started bad but won our three openers... thankyou sturridge and good drfending. this season could get rocky if we don't improve... sad considering three wins in a row. Still early days yet... anything can happen.
The quotes I read said near the top of the league. TBF, we are pretty close to the top of the league at the moment PS...Yes, I realise we could drop out the top four by the end of the weekend.
