That's true, but they have not allowed you to play. They have pressed really well and have completely disrupted your passing game. In games like this you need your top players to step up and create something out of nothing, if he was playing Suarez would have done that.
Well it was nice to be top for a few weeks, see you again in a decade. Losing a home to Southampton is embarrassing.
We needed a quality attacking player in the summer, why did we not sign one? Just 2 players missing from our attack and we look like we could play all day and still not score.
Do you guys not remember the game at St Marys? I believe we beat you 3-1 there, don't be so surprised.
Credit to Southampton they came with a game plan and stuck with it. We on the other hand tried to invent a new way of playing instead of sticking to what has served us so well to date. We never looked good enough today and the players did not seem to know what they were supposed to be doing. We also failed to get enough players in the box when attacking. Also Sterling is massively overrated. Other than the above we were brilliant!
That was last season, we both have very different teams after the summer. Plus, no one is surprised by Southampton, more disappointed with ourselves.
It looks like you could have underestimated the Saints today...They really are a tough side to beat and you have to be creative
Sterling needs a loan like Andros Townsend so he can play every week and try some stuff he wouldn't be able to at Anfield due to the expectations of the fans and the amount of scrutiny on Liverpool players.
Are Southampton going to be our bogey team. We never seem to settle into our normal game when we play them. Or do they just know how to stop us playing?
