Even with all the positives that can be taken from the game, you summed it all up in the first two sentences. If that is not/cannot be addressed the rest becomes quite irrelevant.
I thought Fer was pretty good today but nothing special. For me Howson had a great 90 minutes but nobody else seems to be picking up on this?
It's time for McNasty to hoist his trousers and stick the boot up Hughtons arse ! For every game he stays, it's another nail in this seasons coffin.
But if we start with both, can The rest of the team get near enough to them to provide any sort of service that they could thrive on? We should start with Tina up front as he may just be able to reach some of the balls sailing over RvW's head! Bah!
I think Hughton is in serious trouble now and only a win at Stoke or some kind of miracle result against Chelsea or Arsenal will save him.
The pressure is mounting and the look on his face at the final whistle suggested he knows it's just no good enough but doesn't seem to know what to do next.
Whilst not too many aimless punts today, I was talking about the not exactly? Wonfearful crossing. Though we are away next so it will be in readiness for our hoofball. Bah!
And, trying my best to put a neutral's hat on for a moment, fully deserved. Devoid of hurtful balls into the danger areas, that sadly, is where we're likely to remain.
I don't agree we should be in bottom three. We deserved a point against Hull and 3 against Villa today which would have us on 8.
Stoke away then Arsenal away, two more defeats and the pressure on Hughton will be colossal when we take on Wet Sham at Carrow Road. Lose that and he'll be collecting his P45 I guarantee it regardless of what anyone else says. AND believe it or not, I will be one of the most disappointed fans to see him lose his job. When he was appointed, like McNally, I thought that he was the man to take us forward it's looking increasingly likely that we were both so very wrong. As I type, I admit I haven't a clue who to head hunt for the job should CH be sacked, but then I don't command the salary that McNally does, that's his problem !
I can feel the tide turning against CH now, its not just because of the results but Carrow Road was the quietest I have heard for ages. People are loosing confidence in him now. Just get dumped out the cup on Tuesday and loose away to Stoke and he will be under immense pressure with the games that are on the horizon.
Not sure if any of you are familiar with a website called waybackmachine(it's a web archive), and we are only one position lower than last year!, so enough pant wetting: Position 2012 after five games http://web.archive.org/web/20120926....uk/sport/football/teams/norwich-city/results Position 2013 after five games. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/norwich-city/results Admittedly we have spent 20-odd million to be roughly in the same position , could be in the same position on goal difference depending on tomorrow.
