That Oisin Murphy is going to be some jockey! 25 winners already in only his first season over here, and by all accounts is a good, honest lad - always keen to ask the older lads their advice and does his homework.
Hope some of you followed there - i gave you 3 ofthe first 5 home. Was at Warwick seeing Highland Colori beat Es Que Love so bit gutted i didnt back it but Ive semi boooooooooooooooommmmmeedddd again with Louis the Pious at 33/1 which is quite a nice return.
Quite a meaty price as well Oddy but put in a "fowl" effort on his only run at the track but got badly chopped for room on the home turn. All surfaces come alike and he has form on top(side) of the ground but also acts well with a bit of cut(let). Promise not to rib you if it runs like a turkey.
Missed todays action thankfully due to golf...****ing waste of time that was! Off for a perusal of the last few races. Some great shouts today at great prices.
I have just done my money in the Newmarket 4:15 on Nenge Mboko. He never went a yard and was tailed off last. The going there is reported as Good but this is absolute rubbish judging by the amount of turf being kicked up. The going is Good To Soft so I will not be backing my selection Kohlaan in the 5:55 because it has never won on anything less than Good To Firm. I will stick by my 5:25 selection Willow Beck as he has won on ground described as Good. If I had seen any of the earlier races at Newmarket I would have left the 4:15 alone so whilst I am writing (talking) out of my pocket I guess at this time of the year I should start taking going reports with a pinch of salt. Flat racing is getting nearly as crooked as National Hunt.
Shout Oddy...!! Didn't fancy anything myself so stuck a few quid on. Off out for a Cuban nosebag later sponsored by you..
And now 27. I'm sure he wasn't down to ride that one this morning. Will get beaten on the favourite in the last and deny me a treble!
The treble so far was 6614-1 apparently! Wow! Andrew Balding has said he's going to stop the lad riding in races worth less than £6000 this year, in order to preserve his claim so he has a shot at being champion apprentice next year.
