Injury list and dull football aside, we are top of the league. All the opposition I have seen so far have been dire. Would anyone on here replace any of our 'starting XI' with anybody else from this division? Don't think I would, but then again I don't know any of the other team's players. Green/Cesar ....No Simpson..........No Ned.................No Dunne.............No BAE.................No Hoilett.............No Henry..............No, but you could get 10 identical one's in Aldi. Sadly he'll play ahead of Faurlin I think. Barton.............of course I would replace him with a lump of wood, but can't actually name a player in the Championship Krancjar/Carroll..No Phillips.............No Austin..............No I'm told Tom Ince is good, but beyond that anyone prefer any player from a current Championship squad to our best XI (even if you disagree with my selection)? So, as a result of this irrefutable logic, plus us having the most highly paid manager in the league, I have upped my minimum expectation for the season. This stood at promotion. Now it has to be promotion as Champions. Exceeding this minimum expectation would entail winning by 10+ points or losing 4 or less games. I like clear performance targets I do.
Utterly ludicrous. Your hatred of Redknapp is getting in the way of any sound, practical analysis. I'm surprised at you Stan. You always struck me as a man who wouldn't let emotion get in the way of logic. Must be from listening to all those deep, well-meaning but ultimately doltish Hoosiers. Spending so much time in such an environment inevitably has an effect even on the most perspicacious of minds. A wise course of action for you would be to go back to your natural hinterland of Jonathan Meades and material of an intellectual nature for I fear you may be on a slippery slope my friend. If you continue in this vain it won't be long before you're endorsing sentiments such as "keep Government hands off our Medicare" and "the Teletubbies are making our children gay". Don't say I didn't warn you Stanley.
As usual nothing to say about football. Your modus operandi has become very stale and predictable mate, you need to freshen it up a bit.
Another way of looking at it, Stan, is to ask whether, on the basis of the few weeks of the season to date, there are any of the other team's players that you covet? The first name that comes to mind is Jordan Rhodes; the second is Tom Ince. That fair haired lad in Derby's midfield shows promise too.
