Based on 5live, we made chances, but they reckoned Guzan should have been MOTM. No idea what to think really.

I thought you played well (especially 1st half) & were worth at least a point, think a few of your fans have ideas above their station.!

 

they can cross all day long and it still wouldn't have done anything. Poor crosses or long balls that do nothing for RvW or Hooper. Vlaar and Clarke are like an Iron Curtain around Villa's goal with Guzan as guardian.

 

reasonable performance to my mind guzan and clark had great games, could have easily got at least a draw

 

Somehow Lambert wins the matches that matter. I can't fault the effort, but something is lacking. I don't know what. Probably nobody does.

 

I'm normally positive even after a defeat, but I just feel deflated and annoyed at the moment.

 

we deserved at least a point today. no anwers in the 2nd half. still a long season ahead, but i see what hughtons trying to do. win on tuesday to get morale up.

OK, but why? We have one of the best strikers in Europe (RvW). At the end Hooper was on the pitch too. And yet we still didn't look like scoring. Against probably the worst defence in the Prem. Why?

 

By all accounts, Guzan touched the ball more than any other Villa player today!

I might be feeling a little bit angry lol. But I just can't see us improving and with Stoke away, Chelsea and Arsenal next I can't see us getting anything from those games.

 

So have all the reporters and match analysts - they all expected far, far more from City in the 2nd half.
