Just watched the highlights of the reserve game against Rotheram. It was all NP! Even in the first half when he did not score he had numerous attempts on goal and commanded the attention of the film editor. Don't know if there something in the editing but rarely do you see highlights were one player seems to attract all the footage.

Surely can only be good. I for one am willing for him to get a spot on the bench on Saturday and come and get at least one goal. Go Nick.

    Tigers player.

He is right it is all Pro. He must have had 15 shots and dominated the entire play. I know it is their reserves but Fryatt and Sagbo were out there and in the 13 minuets of highlights they seem to be completely lost.

Sagbo had one shot that he totally misplaced. Did not see him do anything else. Fryatt had some nice touches and passes though. But it was the Nick on Wednesday Show.

You could tell that their defense was real weak. I wouldnt take to much out of him scoring 4 goals but if you put people on the bench based off merit I think he earned a place.

OK it's only Rotherham reserves but you can only beat what's in front of you & to show such determination means he deserves another shot. good luck to him

Beyond that I do not think they deserve a spot on the bench? I dont know. Sagbo would be the worry to me, if he is going to be a starter for us he needs to bang in goals against that level of opposition.

Proschwitz should get one of the 3 vacant spots on the bench @ Newcastle with Sagbo and Faye getting the other 2.

Fryatt was poor even against Rotherham reserves. Prozzy looked keen and hungry and scored 4 goals. Dont rule out Prozzy and/or Faye grabbing late goals off the bench today.

Maybe Sagbo is all but assured a spot in the bench and really couldn't be arsed to out a shift in.

If you'd just moved into enemy territory, not properly settled yet, then you're asked to play some meaningless friendly against a second team from Hell midweek on a Wednesday night, would you bother playing your very best?

Yes, anything less than your best is unprofessional. Particularly after the idiot has spent 3 matches banned for a deliberate headbutt.

He should be busting his balls to demonstrate he wants back in the starting 11. As he hasn't demonstrated that, he shouldn't start or be on the bench.

Couldn't have put it better myself. Looks like Nick is trying to prove a point, and deserves a spot on the bench.

To be fair sagbo was probably sent out for that match with the message take it easy. I know if I had a player who just needed a bit of sharpness after a few games out but was a first team player, I wouldn't have him bust a gut!

Precisely, same if you were the player. Sagbo has been brought in to be in the first team, for him it was a fitness exercise nothing more.

For the like of Proschwitz they need to impress to get in to the first team.

If that's the point why have a squad? Let's not bother with players getting into the side on merit, let us just pick the same 11 week in week out.

I would have him busting a gut, particularly as he let himself and the team down. I don't think it is in Bruce's DNA to 'Have a run out and take it easy'.

I don't really know what your on about, I'm pretty sure Sagbo was only in there to gain a bit of sharpness to prepare for today, it's almost a month since he last played and even that was only 27 minutes. Why would the player or manager want him to bust a gut when it could have him nackered and not at his best today and/or risk injury just to show up some kids from Rotherham?
