Compare Crouch's affair with Giggs' long-term career as an adulterer. Hardly compares.

But I still don't cheer. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth, to be honest haven't had many examples of that this season to be fair. :p

You could say the same thing about comparing Crouch's career with Giggs' ;)

Fair enough. Ultimately I don't care what Giggs gets up to in his private life. I support him as a United footballer, not as a person.

I don't usually come on here but I was curious to see what Utd fans' reaction is. To be expected, I guess.

I've had mates cheat. I said on our board it's messy and complex, not best dealt with in handy bite-sized, two-words-per-line tabloid front pages.

    But...

If a mate had been shagging his brother's mrs for 8 years, lied to all concerned including the sister-in-law, had other women coming out of the woodwork and been shagging on the days after the birth of his two kids I'd say that dude's no mate of mine, he's just a ****ty person.

That's no reason to sack him but he's a major embarrassment to your club now and sponsors hate that. On the back of Rooney do you think the Glazers are getting "Don't sweat it" emails out of this?

You guys were defensive whenever Davinia Taylor was mentioned. Fair play, long time ago but your defence now seems like empty words. Is that incident and all this latest stuff just isolated bookends to his career or part of a steady stream that's just been well-hidden?

Fair enough. I'm not trying to wum and God knows Swarbs spends enough time on our board not wumming, either.

FTR I defended Rooney because one in seven UK men use prostitutes so there was a helluva lot of hypocrisy flying around that one.

Please find a post that I have directed at you that hasnt been a direct response from a post that you made. You'll find a hard job.

You constantly post about me and i'd like it to stop. I have sensitive feelings.

Nothing to do with his playing career you cant take that away from him. a United legend.

He's not made a mistake, he's made several and doesnt give a toss who he has damaged on the way. He's a thick, idiot that's ****ed over those people who unconditionally love him despite who or what he has become. ie. His family:. His parents, his brother and his family, his wife and his own kids and yes, even his many mistresses that he has strung along with empty promises. Imagine the stick his kids will get from now on.

If my bro had been shagging my wife for the last 8 years behind my back I would batter him. And her probably.

Same here. There's generally at least two (often four or five) sides to it. But then again that's the sort of thing tabloids thrive on. The more confusion the more they can mislead and sensationalise.

This is true. But then football fans are well known for being willing to ignore the character flaws of their heroes. Garrincha apparently had 15 kids with different women and killed his mother in law whilst driving drunk; Maradona was a drug addict; Gerrard is best mates with some gangsters and punched that DJ; Di Canio used to make facist salutes; and Cantona kicked that bloke. That didn't stop any of them being legends for their respective clubs / countries.

I doubt they're getting many e-mails about it to be honest. Like I said above, as long as it doesn't affect football, most fans won't care. Giggs will probably lose a few of his personal sponsors, like Rooney did, but I can't see any major implications for United.

I don't remember anyone being particularly defensive. I just remember pointing out that an unproven allegation of assault, in a crowded nightclub with no witnesses, made by an alcoholic manic depressive who was deemed to be an unfit mother by the High Court, is not particularly convincing.

In general, I remember quite well an interview Giggs gave when he said that being seen in public with so many women was distracting him from his career and he wanted to just focus on football. I assumed at the time that meant that he'd decided to stop trying to sleep with every woman under the sun. Now it seems more like he decided to carry on sleeping with every woman under the sun, and just avoid being seen in public with them...

I'm not condoning what Mr. Giggs has done or not done. My concerns about him are purely football related, his family affairs(no pun intended) are personal to him and his family.

What concerns me more is how his private life has become public, i would damn the public who take an interest in such, and damn further those who publicise/seek & report such private information.

What is wrong with people that hey need to wallow in such things is beyond me.

I apply this view not only to Giggs, but all celebrity, politicians, etc.

We are talking about people's lives here, If any of us had any affairs, the rest of this site wouldn't give a monkey's about it. Yet a so called "celebrity" plays away, and the nation think it's their devine right to know every detail. The people involved are not some UBER being, they're just human and sit on the toilet just like the rest of scraggy arses!

Whilst alot of people made money out of this saga, Id love it if someone checked out their private lives, and plastered it over the media.

So to answer the original question ..... No why the **** should he!

You have no right to know that he has done what he has done, it's ****ing disgraceful that you should judge a footballer on his private life. You're a noisy bastard to care about the fact that Giggs did something that many people have done. Every club have got one or two people who do stuff like that, but just because it's someone like Giggs, everyone has a ****ing gangbang over it. Calm down and concentrate on the ****ing football.
