Well he told a different story before he joined Everton - http://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/leighton-baines-talentspotter I spend my cash on My son. He's only 11 months old, so I make sure he never goes without. I haven't bought him a mini Liverpool kit. Yet!
Taken from the Guardian; "I was only young, though, and I didn't like the hustle and bustle of the stands. I lost interest in Liverpool, but I still loved watching football. I was at the 1995 FA Cup final [aged 9, when Everton beat Manchester United 1-0]. I went through a spell of liking Blackburn Rovers because they had Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton in attack. And then I started watching Everton properly when I was about 14. My mum wouldn't let me go on my own but my cousin was three years older than me so we'd get the bus, 50p from Kirkby, and then hang around outside until we could sneak in. "We'd wait until they opened the gates after 75 minutes for the early-leavers to go. There were stewards on the gates and if they were in a good mood they would wink and let us in. One guy, in particular, used to look out for us. But sometimes, if we were unlucky, there would be a jobsworth on the door and we wouldn't get to see anything."
Believe what you like mate, but he's a Blue. Albeit from a red family. It's akin to asking if Carra & Stevie DJ are still Blues mate....... ......to add to......Fowler, McManaman & Owen....(our scouts from the 80's must have been ****e)
Gerrard was never a blue. Carra saw the error of his ways, as did the others. We'll just have to agree to differ
Glad I didn't disappoint then... I'm sure the 'story' is 100% kosher as well mate, not like he'd want to deny any sort of Blue allegiance at any point ever, is it?
its in his book - some **** about his uncle buying him that kit to piss off his dad or some **** - the book was ****e anyway Carras book is class
