You seem to be pushing this line quite a bit, as if it matters if someone likes computer games, or goes on caravan holidays - as in you should worry about appearing cool because of some social pressure, rathering than doing something unfashionable which you personally enjoy. I think I got over that stage of pedantic social awareness when I was about 15.
No you got all of it wrong. You're just backtracking and desperately trying to point-score. I had a much more fun childhood than you could ever dreamt of having. I grew up in a awesome part of France, was allowed to buy booze as soon as I was old enough to ask for it and was a novelty for the french ladies, don't worry about my childhood You grew up in a ****hole full of people blowing each other up and throwing bricks at each other. Keep on trying though, I feel like we're making progress
