After last week's showing, albeit against a very good Spurs side, the players will hopefully want to show that it was just one of those perverbial bad days at the office. Surprise, surprise I'm not that confident but I do think this could go either way I'm going for 2-1 City, as northampton says last week was hopefully a wake up call. Who's quote is this ? "If we think we need to do something then we will change it to try and get the result," he said. "I know I can do that with the lads that I've bought in. There are options there that we can use. "Everyone is a threat. I never had as many options as I've got now. We've definitely got an attacking threat."
villa haven't kept a clean sheet since the start of december in a 0-0 home draw with stoke (25 league games). sounds familiar...
I've just invited a lady supporter of Villa to have a look and register and join in if she wishes, so best behavior to visitors please!
Can't really say I'm confident about this game, every time we play Villa they seem to always be the better team. Benteke will no doubt score 1 or 2 goals.
Has anyone mentioned that Villa are better away from home than at Villa Park. According to the BBC, they were unique in the PL last season as the only team to pick up more points away than at home. In the light of that, how do people think we should approach the game?
In praise of Nathan Redmond http://thepremierleagueowl.com/player-to-watch-this-weekend-nathan-redmond-norwich-city/ I chuckled at the paragraph:-
Norwich City FC ‏@NorwichCityFC #ncfc team v @AVFCOfficial: Ruddy; Martin, Bassong (c), Turner, Garrido; Snodgrass, Howson, Fer, Redmond; Elmander; van Wolfswinkel. Norwich City FC ‏@NorwichCityFC #ncfc subs v @AVFCOfficial: Bunn (GK), Whittaker, Hooper, Pilkington, Hoolahan, R Bennett, Tettey.
# We, on here, could argue all day but this has got to be mighty close to our best XI, just need to see Olsen in for Garrido
Yeah I'm a bit disappointed not to see Olsson play. Hooper I didn't expect to start, but hopefully see him come on later.
Unless he's not fully fit yet, he's in danger of becoming this season's Becchio / Butterfield, i.e. the Invisible Man I'd prefer him to Garrido. Snodgrass is lucky to get another go after his slapstick display last week, but Benno being injured bails him out a bit. I'd quite like to see Whittaker play right mid?
