Are the antics of Giggs harming the reputation of Manchester United? SAF has shown himself to be decisive in the past when dealing with "problem" players-will he do the same with Giggs?
What are the views of United fans.

It's a situation away from the club, it has nothing to do with the team.

And we've just signed Giggs on for one more season, most probably his last. We'll be letting Giggs bow out properly. What's happened has nothing to do with MUFC and nor was it affecting his performances on the pitch. It's all over now anyway, it happened ages ago.

SAF is also one of the best managers in the world for helping players deal with personal issues and making sure they don't affect their game. As long as Giggs is still 100% commited to United, SAF will be 100% committed to supporting him. It's one of the reason his players are so loyal, and United is so successful <ok>

This. ^^ Had an amazing career, loved by you lot and it won't affect him when 70k prawn sandwich munchers are clapping and tipping their hats to him.

But he's fecked his own rep and his bro needs to give him a good hiding!

It is amazing how many fans can turn on a player who has never put a foot wrong in his career and then makes a mistake in his private life. It was just a few weeks ago both United and rival fans were lauding him as one of the greatest of all time and now apparently he is an idiot who needs a hiding.

100% agreed, fans should like what he does on the pitch, not outside the pitch!

Yeah, he's an adulterer. He betrayed the trust of his wife and his brother, not to mention his kids.
But yeah! He can kick a football real good! Let's cheer him! What a legend!

Hey, he should still play. He's still as good a footballer as ever. But you are all condoning his behaviour by saying all of a sudden that moral backbone doesn't matter. Obviously it's his private life, but I wouldn't cheer him knowing it. What if he was a murderer?

Jesus you would think noone but professional footballers ever committed adultery. If it was your best mate you would not have that reaction.

Thing is, Giggs isn't my best mate. He's a footballer. One I respected due to his amazing work ethic, sporting behaviour and what always seemed to be a great moral code.

Now, I know he's an adulterer. Now, I'm not talking about a random fling, I'm talking about a serial adulterer. But apparently he gets away with it because he's good at football. People refuse to make any sort of judgement on his behaviour.

Hey, fair enough, his business, his life. I think he should still play, it's his job at the end of the day.
But a lot of these people saying 'leave him alone' are just United fans who probably wanted to string up John Terry over that Wayne Bridge fiasco.

You still like him if you want, and I personally think he's still one of the greatest of all time? But cheer that scumbag? Feel happy for him when he scores a goal? Not a hope.

I haven't heard anyone condone his behaviour, Utd fan or otherwise. But then no one cheers him because of his behaviour, they cheer him because of his skill as a footballer. So why should we stop cheering him? Or are you saying you don't cheer any of Peter Crouch's goals anymore after his affair?
