Kevin Smith and Tommy Alford (security) also leaving City. This could all be connected to the clubs poor performance off the pitch. It will also mean internally more change leading to? Hopefuly improvement.
At this rate we wont need security people or anyone. I don't like the sound of some of what's going on behind the scenes. The club is clearly still losing shed loads of money
If this is true, what the hell are the board doing?! I mean, the entire ****ing point of these people is to ensure that the business side of the club is to be improved. Over the past few years, there have been some signs. For starters, we've struggled for a few years to get decent sponsorship. I reckon we landed the Community Trust as a sponsor simply because no one else wanted to sponsor the club. The huge delay in news for Ashton Vale is another sign, and the fact that we're now giving up is the final nail in the coffin. If, after relegating ourselves to League 1 to save some money, we still cannot get money coming in to run the club, I think the board should go, and Lansdown with them. It's simply not a sustainable model to rely completely on Steve Lansdown. Any success we could possibly gain would just raise the bill even further.
One or two will be replaced. Kevin Smith? Parts of the clubs vision have barely started. This idea of a listening club appears distant.
It's very difficult for any of us to comment on these departures because we don't know if: 1. It's simply part of cost-cutting 2. It's part of a restructure where existing roles do not exist 3. It's part of a restructure where roles have changed and the person in the job does not have the right skills 4. The person themselves are not good enough (i.e. performance manangement issue) To be honest it's right that we don't know.
