His injury is our biggest set back so far IMHO. He was just starting to show us what he is made of. Good move by NCFC BTW.
Met him after the Southampton game at Riverside he stopped to have a photo taken with my Dad, really sound guy and an absolute gent considering he was a crunches he stopped to have photo's and spoke with fans. Over the years I've bumped into a lot of players and they've across as either not particularly bright or absolute pricks.
Very good news, need him, to keep the pressure on Snoddy, who otherwise will get too big for his boots.
Pleased for him, he seems like a good guy and has something different which he can add to the team. Bet Carrabuh's not happy.
Understement of the year! I am in agreement with most others on here and think he's a very worthwhile addition to the squad.
What's happened to the curmudgeon anyway. Have not seen a post from him for some while. Good news about Benno though when I saw the title "E Benno" I thought we were getting a Latin lesson.
He said we were boring him to death, so he is on a sort of busman's holiday -- boring himself to death.
In general I tend to agree with Carrabuh about many things, but not about E Bennett. I think he is the kind of player who is underrated because the work he does is not flashy. Fans always tend to love players like Redmond because he's exciting to watch and he creates things, but that kind of player also has a cost. Perhaps one of the reasons Garrido is getting so much flak this season is that he isn't being protected, whereas a player like EB would provide that protection but generally get little credit for it.
Let's just hope for his sake it isn't the "New contract kiss of death" a la David Fox! Oh, by the way Dave & Maestro, I should be back to my normal frequency of appearances now.
He impressed me in a friendly I saw him in during pre-season.... hopefully he plays well when he comes back!
