Crystal Palace V Swans Sunday 22nd September 1.30pm referee Kevin Friend Palace will be the ones wearing a Barcelona type kit, we will be the ones in white playing like Barcelona, just ask Valencia Away fans are housed on one side of the Arthur Wait Stand. Just over 2,000 away supporters can be accommodated. If you are seated towards the rear of the stand then you will find that you are sitting on old wooden seats and there is very little leg room. Plus the views of the playing action are not particularly great from the back of the stand, due to the overhang of the roof. And if that is not enough then there is the odd supporting pillar to contend with too. Also If you sit in the bottom half of the stand for an afternoon kick off, in the earlier part of the season, then don't be surprised if you end up trying to keep the sun out of eyes'. That's if any of you bastards are going Opposite Thornton Heath Railway Station there is a Wetherspoon pub, called the 'The Flora Sandes' which is popular with both home and away supporters. Also close by is 'The Railway Telegraph' on Brigstock (as you come out of Thornton Heath station turn right and the pub is further down on the left). There are plenty of Kebab & Chip shops available on the route to the ground. They serve beer in the ground but no rissoles. I suggest you have a hot dog, hot dogs are the way forward. Dogs are mentioned 14 times in the bible cats are not, neither are rissoles. Some Random trivia for you........ Kevin Friend was the last referee to award us a penalty, this was in the Capital One cup final held at Wembley Stadium when we beat Bradford City 5-0 to to lift the trophy, qualify for European football and cement our place as the number one team in Wales. Palace were Formed 1905 and Selhurst Park's capacity is 26,309 John Wayne was the man who shot Liberty Valance (sounds like Palace) Crystal Palace are the only club to have a troupe of cheerleaders entertaining the fans before every game and at half time. No team news I'm not Michael Laudrup I'm a pisshead so what else did you expect. Please feel free to "DISCUSS" thank you it's been emotional
They're leaving at 6.30 am so I think you have good point there, pony express for them with Indians attacking them en route, probably as they are passing Cardiff
No 2 , me and my grandson , keep an eye out for a knackered old man with bleary eyes and a an over exuberant 9 year old
Read on Crystal Palace fan forum HERE They seem to be seeing this as a good chance at 3 points. They were impressed with the Liverpool performance, but are saying the trip to Valencia would have taken it out of us and the result was largely down to Valencia's poor performance. Whilst I agree it might be a tough game for us, I'm quite surprised they are not more wary of us, especially with Holloway in charge...he'll be telling everyone we're the best thing since sliced bread...not that I mind
If i was looking at this from Crystal Palace point of view i would think that they need to get pts from the mid table teams at home to survive in this league. Being so soon after a European match, if they cant hope now it would be giving up. I predict 0-3 to the mighty Swans though, With the competition for places we have atm i dont think anyone's going to take it easy on this one.
If this game was later on in the season then I would think tiredness will be a factor but it's only the start and winning in style breeds confidence We may also find the little breaks which can become important factors in a game could start going our way ( penalty decisions etc ) Hard game but a winnable one for us .
