This! Good luck Smudger. Good pro but lacks the quality to cut the mustard in the PL anymore. #legsaregone

expensive but good role model and leader off the field- on the field however i winced everytime he flew into a tackle, games like the blackpool match at home where he recklessly dived in and conceded a penalty i would never forget, however in the championship was an outstanding captain and did his job well against big target strikers so mixed feelings about smudge leaving , but good luck to wherever he goes too

seems like a decent guy with a good attitude, its unfair to say he hasnt got the quality anymore because he can still cut it in the EPL i reckon at a team like swansea or norwich or any team likely to be in the bottom 5, he do a job for them for sure. hes not part of the future of nufc and at 60k a week is on a ridiculous wage, if he was on about 5k a week id say keep him, its not his fault hes overpaid why we even gave him such a big deal is beyond me anyway.

I may be bold to say it, but I think we'd have struggled to get promoted again if it weren't for Smith's influence.

I'm not sure about that at all. He was good the first half of the season but when Guthrie displaced him we were a better side.

I absolutely loved him in the championship season, couldn't get enough of him such a combative DM was immense loved his tackles and the shift he put in. Agree though think its time to move on unfortunately but hopefully he does well wherever he's destined to play. If not at Leeds then somewhere else.
