Keep the faith Stroller, hopefully it will come. Our team is very much "work in progress". During the summer break I wasnt very confident with Harry and his ability to turn things round, but I am amazed at whats been done in such a short period of team, (with regards to in's and out's).

Lets hope we can get a decent striker soon and get Krancjar/Carroll playing. Then we can have some better football hopefully.

Assou-Ekotto's a top-half Premier League left-back and Redknapp knows how to get the best out of him.
He had some issues with Villas-Boas and probably doesn't suit the current Spurs system as well as Rose, but he's better than most players in his position in the top-flight.
Get a winger in front of him who's happy to run in behind his full-back and you'll see a very impressive defender who can pick out some great passes.

The downsides? Some odd attitudes to discipline and he always speaks his mind, plus there were rumours of failed medicals in the summer, though nothing was confirmed.
Missed virtually a whole season a few years ago, but not much since and became a fan favourite at the Lane.

I always thought that David Bardsley managed to do that from right back.

I have just seen that BAE is the focus of a programme on BT Sport on Monday 8pm which highlights the work that their new charity 'The Supporters Club' does. Also featuring Nick Hancock as his sidekick. Will give us all the chance to marvel at his fantabulous barnet.

Ian Taylor is a Not606 fan! He just mentioned on 'London Call In' that he'd been reading one of the forums (when the topic of BAE arose), then referenced a comment from this thread.

So when a very similar player to Henry, ie: Derry played in the side that won the Championship 3 years ago, you didn't want to watch?

I do think a lot of people have a misty-eyed view of the quality of our play that season. Barring the odd game here and there, we were absolutely dreadful to watch. I said it at the time and I'll say it again: We bludgeoned our way to promotion under COLIN. And it was fantastic because it worked. And if we go up again, we'll do it in that manner also.

As a matter of fact, I'm quite getting into the idea of getting down and dirty this season. Awful hoof-ball, hatcheting, head-tennis, hacking, Ian Holloway style sh*te-ball is what we need and the more of it we get, the better. Toad face did it with the Hammers two years ago and every week, after yet another victory, 'Ammers fans was ringing in 606 calling for his head. It was the most woeful "football" they'd ever seen down at the Boleyn and they had to cover their eyes for most of the game for fear of getting sick. But up they went and left a load of other big Clubs stranded in this God-awful league.

See this season as a kind of purgatory period where we atone for our sins of the past two seasons and come out the other end renewed, revitalized and ready to go into the Promised Land where its all milk, honey and sexy football.
