Infinity is a weird concept. The Universe is technically still growing, so is not finite. Not good enough in Physics/Maths to get heavily involved. All the stuff I've watched about it has been when I'm really stoned...
There's a really good BBC documentary about Infinity too, not sure if it's a Horizon or just a normal one...
Shouting? Who's shouting? I think BOLD print denotes shouting doesn't it? ... As for the "general consensus", well it's far from agreed, is it?.
No man can understand the concept of infinity, it's just too big for mortal minds to grasp, the closest we can get to understanding it, is trying to fathom why any woman needs so many pairs of shoes...
One of many theories, with no incontrovertible evidence to back it up. Doesn't mean it was something high-tech and incredible. If it was super-advanced technology, you'd expect it to be something other than a lump of limestone No explanation doesn't mean fantastic explanation. And quite often, there are perfectly simple explanations ignored by those who want to believe something more unusual. This is a fabrication of new-age advocates. They were the first to develop agriculture, so they were able to build cities, and stay in one place intead of being hunter-gatherers. It makes perfect sense/ Because you aren't guessing or speculating at all.
The Sumerians had accurate knowlegde of the planets in our Solar system, even the ones invisible to the naked eye. I'd like to see reasonable explanations for the construction of the South Americans Pyramids, with primitive tools. And finally, how four or five Civilisations just happened to appear within' 1000 years of each other in three different continents, maths, physics, astronomy, when us Scots were still living in caves eating our own ****e.
You're sitting in front of a computer communicating with people from all over the place when there are tribes in South America still living in mud huts and worshipping the sun. Just because no one has yet to come up with a decent explanation for some mysteries is not evidence that they are the work of aliens or of humans being influenced by aliens. The animal world is a funny place. Just look at morphic resonance.
"Just because no one has yet to come up with a decent explanation for some mysteries is not evidence that they are the work of aliens or of humans being influenced by aliens" ====================================== I never mentioned aliens. I believe there were advanced human civilisations on our planet thousands of years before the Aztecs, Egyptians or Sumerians. Our planet has been known to have the odd catastrophic natural disaster now and then It's just an opinion
I like the fact that Humans are so arrogant, thinking we know all there is to know. People probably thought the very same a thousand years ago. Making up ****e when the didnae ken the real answer. e.g Rainbows are a covenant between Noah and God. Humans are the daftest people I know.
Also check-out Jerry Ehman and the Wow! signal of 1977. Strong possibility of an extraterrestrial sorced signal. Nothing like it received before or since...
Dev There's too many `holes' in the mainstream `accepted' history of human civilisation. There's knowledge that humans once had that's been lost to the majority of the population. Check out the ancient Sanskrit scrolls and the fact that Oppenheimer was a student of Sanskrit and supposedly gained insight into the design of the atom bomb from these ancient documents. There's buried cites in the Indus Valley that have 100 times normal levels of radiation. And many ancient city's have been vitrified.
