Flamini will be key to stopping Stoke's thuggish-ness. Rambo will also be out to prove a point. I expect a comfortable, but not too comfortable, win

As long as we beat the scumbag thugs and their scumbag manager, that's the important thing. It would be a big bonus if they don't injure any of our players, but that is probably asking for too much, when you are playing against the likes of Shawcross and Huth.

Pretty sure that Hughes is their manager now.

Giroud going to be fit for this one? Metro Fantasy Football has him down as doubtful? Did he take a knock last night?

Pulis has gone and his agricultural style is supposed to be going with him as Hughes attempts to get them to play football. However Hughes has long always hated Wenger and is a archetype proponent of the "get physical to beat Arsenal" brigade - I expect a rough Emirates debut for Ozil. There is also the thug Shawcross to bring into the equation. We should win, and I hope it's pretty.

Stoke were always a team I've liked to beat, their brand of thug + Hoofball has been a blot on the PL for too long, but with Arsenal hating Hughes in charge now, there's even more reason to want to beat them

Everyone is talking about Stoke being a thuggish team, but are they still the same thuggish team under Hughes? I can't imagine Hughes would play the Pulis way but they may retain some of their physicality. But we've evolved as a team and can cope much better with brutish teams.

In a fantasy world I'd be tempted to start Vermaelen in DM alongside Flamini... then instruct him that there's a £1k bonus for scything down any of the following:
    - Huth
    - Shawcross
    - Adam

Then sub him off as soon as he gets the yellow card.

Bonus only payable upon completion of said task and collection of the yellow. With an extra £1k bonus for any scythe on those three he manages to carry out without earning a yellow...

I think this is very disrespectful - you are talking about premier league players. No way would the Verminator do this for £1k-it would need to be at least twice that amount!

I want Rambo to break Shawcross's leg, as poetic justice. Either that, or get a saw, cut it off and eat it in front of him*.

    Don't f*ck with a Welshman.

Aside from acts of vengeance, hopefully we can transfer our seriously impressive away form to some home games. We've won 2 home games on the trot (Spurs and Fenerbahce), which is good for us at the moment. A big home win against Stoke would be a very nice outcome, and hopefully Liverpool and Spurs falter, so we can go top on merit.

"Did you really used to play for Barcelona? That was not Barcelona football" - Disrespectful? Or the painful truth or Mark Hughes' limited managerial abilities.

I expect a win. There are some very tough games coming up.
