Bloody hell. Saw this guy playing for Basel v Chelski last night. What a player. Would love to see him in a Swans shirt! Absolutely tormented the Blues all evening. Did anyone watch it? Off on a diving trip to Egypt for a couple of weeks on Saturday (yes I know you'll miss me DPJ and NJ! ) and I'm sure my Egyptian buddies are aware of him but until last night I wasn't. Fantastic player and what a cracking goal he scored too.
NJ. Sharm is out on Sinai so quite a way from 'mainland' Egypt. I've been in touch with some mates out there and it doesn't surprise me it carried on as normal. Not even a curfew. That can change if there's trouble close by but I'd be surprised. All the Egyptians that work there are from elsewhere, the only true local inhabitants are the Bedouin. We contemplated cancelling but FO advice and the travel company confirm everything's fine and dive operations are running normally. Fingers crossed. Celebrating 30th wedding anniversary on 1st Oct, and before anyone says, yes she deserves a medal. Looks like I'll be going down for a dive on that day.
