Steve Bruce criticised Bomber for not grabbing his chance against Orient.

Well he's certainly caught the managers attention tonight. Over to you Brucie!!

(Should be remembered though, this was Rotherham reserves!!)

Despite Der Stuka's goals tonight, the first time won't change.

Fair play to him for doing the business tonight though. Hope he does well against Huddersfield in the league cup.

JUst back. **** me it was freezing, and i mean freezing.
Firstly fair play to Rotherham. That was a really young side, chased all day.
    Played 4-3-3
    Cracknell nowt to do.
Topliss did really well. Interchanged with Meyler for the first goal, superb cross for prossy to head in.

Faye and Brcue both well composed at the back, strolled through it.
    Clarke did well at LB

Meyler was really trying to impress, was up for it.
Armstrong and Henderson, both very similar, Hendo reminiscent of TC played well. Too good for reserve football but are they good enough for the prem??

Fryatt worked hard things just not coming off for Matty.
Sagbo erm looks a bit lost. Was surprised he's not as big as i thought he was.
Prossy good header for first. Turn n shot for the second from 8 yards. 3rd goali and Fletcher collided ball fell to prossy from 6 yards hooked into an empty net. 4th goal turn n shot from the edge of the box really good finish.

Fletcher looks fast when he came on.

First half it was shoot on sight, everyone having a go instead of working an opening. Faye had a header blocked on the line from a corner and Prossy made a fantastic leap from a corner whcih was blocked as well.

On this display prossy should be on the bench. Felt for matty looks lacking in confidence but did play well, Sagbo- didnt look as though he knew where he was or what to do.

Did i say it was cold??

Thanks Chazz, sounds like Prossy had something to prove, and he did it.

Yes, it was a tad on the chilly side! thoughts on the evening:

    Nice pies!
Faye and Bruce very comfortable all night.
Meyler easily best player on the pitch in the first half
Hard to believe we had a £6m forward line on the pitch in the first half
Prossy took his goals well (was it a perfect hat trick?!?). Seemed to grow in confidence the more he scored - but would be surprised to see him in the team ahead of sagbo on Saturday
Fletcher had an impressive cameo at the end - looked quick, had a trick or two and showed good awareness.

Chazz caught the bus down there, as a feeler for the weekend. He wrote some good stuff about it in the other thread too, which actually makes me think Rheinhold Jnr typed it. No offense Chazzy.

As if anyone actually believes the foreigner scored 4 goals in one game...

You should go support Sunderland. Delusional.

Proschwitz should have been on the bench last Saturday, we could have bunged him on for twenty minutes and maybe nicked it.

I agree - but I doubt very much that his 4 goals tonight will get him a place on the bench for Saturday ahead of Sagbo or Graham.......

That is what I expect SB to put out there as we need to tighten up at the back with Rosie in a back four to give Elmo more freedom to play up field. Personally I'd rather see Brady up front with Aluko instead of Graham, and Quinn in Brady's spot on LW but I doubt that will happen.
