It has been deemed acceptable to sing the songs at football grounds for years therefore a precedent is in existence to this and i still defy you to find a genuine example of someone being offended by words to a song at a football match.

It is and always has been unacceptable to disrespect the dead. Your Hypothetical Muslims are desecrating the sacred as in our culture the memory of the dead is seen as sacred, with those who died in the line of duty often elevated above the stature of the rest.

File football chants at matches under "sticks & stones" it worked for over a century since they are harmless.

An islamic protest at the cenotaph would rank a bit higher in the public unrest scale.

Your argument is baws and if you actually believe it then you're far too soft and probably hide behind the couch when Mock the Week comes on.

Away and have a **** over Cherie Blair ya do gooding welk.

Check the raghead at the back looking cool as **** with his shades and his polka dot scarf.

The magic of free speech is that you get to see everyone's true colours.

Those mongs are entitled to their opinions, no matter how misguided and ******ed they are. Just like the BNP are entitled to theirs <ok>

The suicide bombers & the lady who stabbed the MP did not do it because they saw an extremist video or because someone from Wolverhampton put up a list of MP's who voted for the war, it was their choice & if your mind believes it is right to do so then your mind is pretty ****ed up to begin with.

Its like people who blame violent games when they batter a toddler or the guy who battered his mrs to death & blamed Eminems lyrics!!!

One of your favourite little lines used to be along the lines of your rights only extend so far that they do not infringe the rights of others. The muslims are infringing on other peoples rights to remember and honour the dead. The football fans do not as the objective of the crowd at a football game is to put the opposition off the game by making as much noise as possible or singing songs about them the other fans paid money to do the same. I would argue that by banning certain songs from rangers and celtic, but not other clubs, the rights of the OF fans have been infringed.

The celtic banner was not in the same league of acts as the songs we are arguing about and in this case is irrelevant.
