You can't blame the fans for this crap football, the man is running out of excuses...

    Now I'm in for it....

Unfortunately Wiz I think he has a point. Yes it's frustrating to the point of infuriating but why our support can't just support is quite beyond me.

I'm afraid a section of our so called fans are pathetic. I was more angry with the muppets sat around me in the Ateyo tonight rather than the poor performance. I fail to understand why people bother turning up if all they are going to do is have a go. They boo'd the players for passing and boo'd the long ball.

The players are kids for Christ sake. To those fans who are sarcastic, moaning and borderline bullying as yourself this...if someone came in to your place of work and gave you abuse all day would you perform any better? Probably not. Why? Because your confidence will nose dive. Before someone comes up with the bullshit answer 'well they're well paid professionals, they should be able to take it', jog on! They're human.

If I was SOD I would probably lay in to our pathetic support even more. We have to have the most thickle fanbase in the country. It's embarrassing. I'd rather sit in the away end.

    Well said AM
Unfortunately the aforementioned element will have its day, and another manager will pay.

It must be said though, a manager is ultimately judged on his results, and that has always been the case. Its not a new thing.

I just hope Sir Steve has the presence of mind to stick with O'Driscol this season, while he incubates a new team. At the risk of repeating myself yet again, I suggested all this would happen exactly as it has.
Hopefully it will be remembered that I also said that after a mixed October we would hit the ground running, and go on a good long unbeaten run to the play-offs where we would lose. Next term is our time.
    Champions !

I would like to add to this, that I hope SOD likes a scrap, because he has a lot of work to do to make it happen

i dont like booing and i wouldnt do it, but i am not impressed with it being all our fault as fans, every club has it minority of idiots, but dont tar us all with the same brush.
I have said it before there is a right way to lose matches and a wrong way, ultimately we pay the players wages as STH and paying supporters and its the players JOB to perform for it, and in doing so entertain us and give us all something to sing and cheer about.

Lastly why doesnt SOD tell us straight what the deficiencies are and what hes doing to rectify them?

Unless they are clearly not trying e.g Maynard or a Dinning dont see the point as it could easily affect players that are already tense. It would be better if fans energies were put into supporting eg cracking new Murray flag in Eastend last night from when the moon shines.

Excellent read, I would take issue with the last sentence though. Yesterday hours before kick off fans were laying out flags in the Eastend. The side of the stand they use is nicknamed the angry side, second half from that area it wasnt anger heard, it was support.

What was to blame last night was SOD and the Players free kick tactic. Everyone but O'Connor forward and after conceding a goal like we did against Peterborough we go and do the same ****ing thing but this time only 1 person defending <doh> It's YOURS and the PLAYERS fault SOD! Stop looking for excuses and man up!

See the mods are pushing the anti O'driscoll line again.

Fans can break players, teams and boards they can also help make them. Some of City fans in the pissing rain yesterday were down the ground early putting out their colours and their emblem of support i.e Ernie.

Maybe as this site has blagged their emblem the mods themselves can man up and adopt some of the ideas. e.g Bring the noise, positive junk instead of coming across like Gas whingers.

As fans chanted last night led by the boys of WTMS raise YOUR game.

If you don't like what we write then don't read it or reply to it, no-one is forcing you to.

If you don't like this forum then find another one.

If you're prepared to watch Bristol City FC die in front of your eyes and keep believing that this is all part of the master plan then be my guest.

If you dont want you do something proactive put the white flag up there instead of Ernie. How far can your forum miss that point?

Nice line for a moderator there. You swerved the crux of my post.

How about we meet in person next home game? I will have my son with me, but I am big enough to take that in person.

It seems every post you say recently is aimed at me and the mods, It's repetitive, I don't know how many times I have to say this, This forum isn't like the OTIB or WTMS is open for all 92 teams and more, I am a MOD to control posts not to influence them. If you see it that way then fair enough, I won't be meeting you in person as I don't see the point? I would realise you're a grown man about 30/40+ you will see im a young man at 20. Now please stop going on about me being anti SOD as im really not. In fact if you were on here more you would of read how optimistic I have been these last few weeks but you clearly only want to see and read what you want to.

    Good day to you

I'm intruiged, what exactly would you like/expect me to do ?
If you want, I can be positive and say that in six months time we'll be in a Play Off position. However at this point in time I have no reason to think we will be, or on the evidence thus far, be doing anything but struggling even in this poor quality league.
Contrary to popular belief possibly I don't enjoy seeing my club struggle, but blind, happy-clappy support in the face of an overwhelming amount of mistakes that the club has made while we can't buy a win is not the answer either.

Secondly. it's not MY forum it's for all 92 clubs as Shiny pointed out

He didn't blame fans, he made a point about some. I cant think of a gxample when boling a team has led to a impovement. I can think of examples were the crowd rousing themselves have. Johnson put emphasis on this and went as far to say it could make players jump higher and fun faster.

Joe Bryans performance (again) should earn encouragement.

I like the idea of fans doing more, the club doing more, and that attitude can become contagious and affect the team.

This is your forum. That Robin is about doing not apathy.

You can choose to follow the same ideas behind that Robin because that is what it is about. You can organise your own fan days, get togethers, create murals, raise funds organise motivate and mobilise fans, sell badges, fanzines stickers, others, buy flags, help other fans/groups, create songs, run projects and campaigns, set out aims for the season or have a forum that is an empty vessell. The former is 100% what that Ernie image is about.

    Mods,

You have an opinion like everyone else and free to share it.
Don't take any notice of your detractors.

They fail in their arguments, prefer a Smokescreen and you Mods are the easy target.
