I think one of the things that makes Frank so great is how he has achieved so much with relatively little natural ability compared to others. Scholes has more natural talent but Frank is probably the biggest example in the modern era of a player working his arse into the ground to achieve great things. That should be celebrated in an era where the likes of Raheem Sterling demands 60k a week becuase he's played a couple of good games or Sturridge that demanded 50k a week from City for having a good run in the fa youth cup!! Franks goals record and consistency with (lack of) injuries, performances, goals and assists is amazing and he has done it at a very high level for 12-13 years now. Frank is a great leader on the pitch, great ambasador off it and when he finally leaves/retires, will be the biggest loss to our club ever IMO.
Can't disagree with this. If it were a 442, I'd rather have Scholes. If it were a 3 man midfield I'd have both, with Lampard in the attacking midfield role.
