This is nonsense. What has the world come to when Jose loses so early in the season to a team like Everton ? We must hold an urgent and thorough investigation. I am sure Fergie must have exercised some influence. I am not sure how but I don't care.
For the first time this season i have seen a team today we may need to worry about, four games in with virtually a new team, Spurs are looking like they are starting to gell and are playing some good football. City look piss poor, Chelsea are a complete mis-match of good players and Liverpool have shown nothing, Arsenal i am not sure about, they have played some good football and have the potential to beat any team at any time but are still short of depth. Spurs at the moment are looking very good and have a full team of decent players in reserve.
This. They have made a good impression. If they can maintain a bit of consistency, they could well compete for the title. No one seems to stick out as the outstanding team...
Unlucky my arse. They were just **** at finishing. Their best chance of the game came from Howard pissing around with the ball, and Cech had to make more good saves than Howard did. You can't be unlucky if the opposition's keeper only has to make one decent save in the entire game. Mourinho seems to have turned Chelsea into Liverpool. Lots of possession, but major chokers in front of goal.
Mourinho, since his last season at Madrid seems to have lost his ruthlessnes, maybe because he's older now too. That Chelsea team barely looks like a Mourinho team.
He did say after the Villa game that Lambert reminded him of himself when he was younger and more passionate. Perhaps the pressure at Madrid has taken its toll - always seemed like going back to Chelsea was the easier option for him than trying to make a success of his time at Real. Just goes to further show how well SAF did to stay at the top of the game and keep his hunger for over three decades.
SAF paced himself very well or maybe it was just because of the times. Mourinho's from the newer "I want it all, I want it now" football generation and he's achieved a lot as well but the hunger probably is not there anymore. He might even retire if it doesn't work out at Chelsea.
SAF had a reason, to put the dippers back in there place, Jose has no such reason other to make his ego bigger
To be fair to the Scousers their transfer dealings gave been pretty astute this summer. They sold a dope like Shelvey for a few million and got him to chuck a game for his new club and also convinced the dopes at Chelsea to gift them a more than decent attacking midfielder.
First season in a while they haven't wasted there budget, still not close enough to a top 4 side though, especially with Arsenal and Spurs strengthening.
First decent away opposition the scousers get found out. In fact I have never seen a team so happy and lucky to run away from Valley Parade with a point. The Swans deserved to get 3 points were it for that miserable ex-scouser who gifted them 2 goals. This is just the repeat of last season and the seasons before that,..just too inconsistent against teams like Swansea to be in the top 4. Did we see the new champions? Not unless you are ******ed and delusional like the miserable scousers After 3 matches some of the more afflicted ones were already counting their chickens. "We are a top 4 team" "we are happy that Everton has taken points from a rival" "Chelsea are definitely our rivals" "Everton is a nothing team" " our squad can rival any top teams " and all types of unbelievable delusions. Groundhog Day all over again
Groundhog day?? We've strengthen well this summer, still have a world class player to come back, have a few injuries - yet got 10 points out of 12. We're not title contenders by far (as you aren't this season) but we're capable of getting top 4, if we really push on. All the changes to the teams around the top end of the table could be very beneficial to us. City and Chelsea are looking oddly weak, we've already had one over on you. Our next few games 'should' be winnable... With regards to Swansea, we didn't play well (in the second half) but came away with a point - whereas last season we would have lost that game. Like it or not we're top of the table as it stands, get Southampton out the way and Suarez returns....I'm personally happy with the season so far. You're clearly not, with all those ramblings.
