Still bored here, so thought would do another thread. Just interested in what other fans listen to. Maybe we can all club together and buy a jukebox for the Nest, If SC has got a music license that is. Me for starters at the mo...... Ride Of The Valkyries (Wagner) (Had a bad day at work!!!)
Although a bit of a 'classic rocker', I do love a lot of classical. Chill out for me, and playing at the moment, is Vivaldi 'Nulla in Mundo Pax Sincera' with the wonderful Emma Kirkby. Relaxing stuff, it's as if Colu_Mike had never existed.
Very tasty indeed. She apparently played a small venue in Norwich with the London Baroque recently. (King of Hearts on Fye Bridge) Great when you hear of it too late, isn't it?
A bit of Elvis is quite enjoyable (for me anyway) You might get to hear my karaoke version of American Trilogy if SC gets his music license in The Nest. More than a tad partial to some Queen as well. The Damned, Early Bowie, ELO, The Jam, Rainbow, Level 42 and certain Jazz artists. Will have to ask RBF if he has anything that he would like to go on the jukebox....
What about your good self NC? What choices would you have in there? Might have to go on ebay and see if I can trace a copy of The Canaries. I remember I had a copy when they first released it. The B side was Norwich City Calypso. Anyone else remember that? <Sings> We're the football team in the yellow and green, The canaries is our name. And we'll march right on with the Norwich Song, The Canaries is our name. The Canaries, The Canaries, Let the name ring loud and clear, And we'll keep right on with the Norwich song, The Canaries is our name. Think that's right. It was a fair few years ago. They don't write them like that anymore
Me? I'm stuck in the sixties, musically. Kinks, Small Faces, Hendrix, stuff like that. Later stuff too, but it has to be guitar driven. Guitar is my instrument of choice (or, of mass destruction my wife would say), so all those guys - Beck, Hendrix, Page, Trower, well, you know, all those guys.
Awesome! Silly comment, but if 'Jim could fix it for me'? (showing my classical side) - I'd play the bass drum at the Royal Albert Hall - something like 'Also Sprake Zarathustra'. Weird, but always wanted to do that.
< Puts bragging hat on> Been there done that one mate. Also jammed with the one and only Noddy Holder. His nephew was in a forces band in Germany when I was out there and he popped in to see hime one day. Was a great jamming and piss up session.
Sorry mate, mislead you a tad. Not done Strauss, but did play bass drum at RAH. Mind you, that's probably nothing to where RBF has performed.
No, not at all. Wouldn't matter what it was. Just always had this thing about bass drum. So atmospheric. Would be great to have RBF's input too. Us musicians should stick together! (Well, you and RBF )
Not played properly for a couple of years now. Full time teaching has put a stop to that. Just the odd tootle and parp for the kids nowadays infortunately.
