  1. That was always going to happen, clubs/managers know about him now. He should get a little bit of release when Luis returns to the side as he will be the main target instead.

  3. The team name will make people think "easy three points" but in reality, it's a tough game as they've bought well and are playing decent stuff too despite their results...Southampton!

Williams is a dick, but honestly there didn't look to be too much contact from him on Coutinho. I thought he fell early, anticipating the contact, then hurt himself on landing...but then again, I've not seen replays.

Ah well, one point, still in the mix, I can live with that. Fair play to Swansea, was a good game to watch - if a little tense in the last 30!

Well thought it was a bit of a risk by BR changing up the defense so much(ok some of it was forced) and it didn't pay off. Coutinho is a big loss for us untill Suarez comes back in the team as he's really our only creative link up player to studge.
I think we really need to look at our midfield in Jan as Gerrard seems to have diminished from his form last season and for me Lucas has never recovered fully from his injury.
In reality we should have had the beating of this Swansea team, but our weakness in midfield meant we could not control the game and were left hanging on again.

Still very good start to the season since I don't think we are playing particularly well hope we can grind out some more results untill we find our form but could be difficult without ford and suarez.

On a side note good to see Jonjo have a good game, think his performance typified why we let him go though, moments of genius followed by moments of utter stupidity!!

The tackle didn't directly cause the injury, he lifted his leg up then just left his foot there and caught him in the stomach which sort of flipped him, but think you're right, the way he landed was probably more the cause.

Wasn't a good tackle, but no worse than a yellow.

Swansea did what Swansea do well, and thats keep possession extremely tidily.

Second half was frustrating but a good game of footy and a fair result.

Give Swansea their due, they applied the pressure in the second half. Of course I'm not going to say they deserved their equaliser. Nice move but we let it happen and got caught wrong-side.

A lot is being made of the Coutinho injury but the truth is that we had already lost the initiative. The same happened away to Villa and it's an issue that has to be addressed. I accept that the idea is to invite them to open-up and thereby create space for the counter but the gap between Lucas and Gerrard to Courtinho and Moses just got too big. So I'm viewing this as 1 point saved but 2 points dropped.

Plus points for me. We've got a sound goalie. Sakho does look good. Moses will get better and stronger. Sturridge is so much better than Wellbeck. One less game to play before we can re-introduce Suarez. We needed him tonight.

Enjoyed the game lads. In terms of who gifted the goals ..... we were a lot more generous tonight and really get pissed off that our goals get pulled apart and Sturridge was all about the finish (not that it was totally gift wrapped)

I thought at times we were ****ing awesome for a "little team". Well played :)

No offence to you but you should NOT forget who you were playing because you were roasted in the second half, 70% Swansea possession to your 30%. Overall stats were possession 58/42: shots 17/12: on target 8/5 all in favour of Swansea. Oh, and 2 of your on targets (and goals) were unearned gifts if you hadn't noticed. You definitely took the first half but the second period? You were lucky to get nil as the saying goes and were hanging on like grim death hoping for scraps on the break after hoofing the ball upfield . Take your point and be very, very grateful to your old player for it.

As for Coutinho, Williams did play the ball first but left his leg in so deserved his card. Being a small side our players get that sort of treatment on a weekly basis, so we are used to it. On that subject, can't see why Shelvey was carded, neither could the TV commentators. Lucas on the other hand should have got red as he clearly pushed Shelvey in the chest with both hands. Might have been handbags but the rule on raising your hands is quite clear - except to this referee. Liverpool also committed more fouls in the game than Swansea.

Perhaps you should give us more credit ("sides like these") because you were scrambling to salvage a point in the end: the reason being that, by the end, you were being totally outplayed and dominated by a side that were not arrogant enough to forget who they were playing.

Shelvey took a swipe at Lucas according to journalists, it just wasn't caught on camera.

I think a big issue is that our midfield isn't that mobile. Gerrard & Lucas is quite a sluggish partnership, we don't really have a Mascherano/Sissoko type who'll close the opposition down and not let them play.

Another issue, slightly smaller, is that when Coutinho doesn't play we have no one that can do what he can. Aspas is an intelligent player but that role in behind the striker just doesn't work for him, he doesn't have Coutinho's footwork, technique or vision.

Why should you get more credit than has already been given to you? You really do want it both ways don't you. If you are a good side then you are a good side - nothing more and nothing less. So don't come round here playing the "we are only little Swansea" card.

Now, in my estimation that was the best that you could play in the second half. So our exasperation was with our own side - not yours. You were not brilliant, you retained the ball well but you actually did little different than you did in the first half to little effect. The difference was the drop in or performance not better play by your side.

And when it come to looking at the stats - what the **** else would you expect from a side playing at home! So you managed 3 more shots than we did - brilliant. As for overall shots then it merely proves that your marksmen were even poorer than ours. Let's face it, you kept the ball and you huffed and puffed but for all of that possession you only managed 1 goal. Congratulate yourselves you managed more than Villa and United did!

But please, get over yourself. As far as the majority of us are concerned in the second half at least we made you look a lot better than you actually are. That's not arrogance - it's the truth.

Well I was at the game and didn't see that, but think a yellow for each player was fair enough - was just 'handbags' and shouldn't even be a talking point. Was an excellent game and on balance I think the draw was fair to both teams.

Take issue with some of your keyboard fans wishing a serious injury on Ash Williams - thought you lot were better than that (and must admit that most of you are!) Is a bit disappointing when fans of a great team like yours make such crass comments from the comfort of their bedrooms! ;)

All in all a good point for both teams - you took the first half, we took the second. You are back on top of the league and we are in 13th, and I will be realistically happy if that is where we end up. Think you can challenge for Champions League this season; Rodgers master plan is beginning to bear fruit and you play some excellent football - think Coutinho and Sturridge are starting to look like the real deal - and when 'Bugs' Suarez comes back you will have a front line who will scare the **** out of any defence! ;)

Thought Oliver had a bad game (dubious decisions going against both teams) and looked like losing control during a bad tempered start to the second half, and both linesmen gave him no support whatsoever. Thankfully the ineptitude of the officials didn't have a real bearing on the result.

Excellent game of football from two teams wanting to play football as it should be played. Good luck for the rest of the season and must compliment your travelling support, had some good banter with some of them before and after the game. Love the Scouse sense of humour; very similar to ours in Wales, and they are a credit to the team. <cheers>
