Thank God for that. I thought you were going to ask me to define racism for a moment, like you usually do.

I'd stick to your intellectual conversations with Boothferry2Wembley if I were you.

Blimey, you're stuck in rut from about three years ago. You need to reassess the boxes you put people in. <ok>

You smell BS because it is. There is nothing in it at all, it's just morons who have nothing better to do with their time creating idle gossip. The Allams aren;t going anywhere anytime soon, just as we aren't going anywhere near Melton

They have a smaller fan base than us.

They have a smaller ground than us.

We have more history than them.

They are well run, play attractive football and have done very well to secure their current manager.

    All transient stuff.

The dude who owns the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings. So at least that rumor had the Tigers theme behind it, and he is trying to buy a PL team.

I had to google that. It would make more sense for the guy to buy the Detroit Lions but the Ford family wont sell it to him.

I doubt that the Allams are going to sell the club or a part of it any time soon.

It's not about being rich, or powerful or influential, it's about progression. If we could rely solely on the money coming in from gate receipts, merchandise etc then great, but it's not sustainable and not realistic. We've done the hard bit and got into the PL off the back of what was a tough Championship season, but what now? Do we spend our days fighting relegation and hope that the PL money we get is enough to see us through (a bit like Wigan did), or do we push on like Southampton have, get some money and force our way up the table? By getting outside investment in, we aren't selling out, we're trying to aim to be the best we possibly can.

A name change isn't going to bring that reality into effect, but if there's no money coming in from the current owners, how on Earth are we going to compete with the other 19 best clubs in the country? I wouldn't stop going if we were relegated, but it sounds as though there are some on here who would sooner be a League 1 supporter than a supporter of a club pushing for Europe. Which sounds like a case of cutting your nose off to spite your face. I know how important our clubs heritage is and I'm fully in support of the anti-name change campaign, but I'd like to think that with some outside investment, we could one day challenge for a European place and beyond.

Agreed. But if we get some serious Asian investment in the Club that enabled us to move up from also-rans in the Prem to an established mid-table team that can contend with the big boys then the Tiger image and a well organized marketing campaign in China, Japan, and the ASEAN countries could be a big plus. That's what I, and possibly the Allams, have in mind. A successful footballing club with a ready made Asian appeal.

Rotherham, Barnsley etc can't compete with that

It does look like one, but it's actually a statue of the Virgin Mary. I kid you not.

They will soon have a bigger stadium.

In what way do we have more history than them?
