Just watching Sky, and Shelvey is still distraught and apologising to the fans. Fcuk me I feel like crying. Showed strength of character in putting in a second half display as he did.
Liverpool hanging on like a journeyman boxer there. I have said for the last 6 months that Liverpool under Brenda are a one man team and today proved it......yes they can steal goals with Sturridge or Suarez but it was Coutinho that saved Brendas bacon last year. As soon as he went off they could not cope or create tika taka. That aside, we were very good at times and mental at others ps JJ looks like he is breaking down !!!! Chin up you Jack Bastard !!!!
JJ looks as though might be calling the Samaritans tonight after listening to his post match interview!
Tell him to call me I'll cheer the Jack Bastard up. He's gone up in my estimation and a credit to himself.
After watching that performance and seeing Valencia playing last night, I fancy us to get a least a point.
Good game lads, not sure if it's a fair result or not, as I think you possibly deserved all 3 points. I'm more than happy with a point to be fair, as I thought you'd turn us over tonight. Good luck on Thursday. If you're going, enjoy!
Fantastic second half from the lads, seemed much stronger with 11 men, unlike the first seeing as Dyer was not playing. So glad for Shelvey, he looked down and out at HT, and glad ML didn't take him off, and for him to get the assist, was landed for the lad. Cracking game it must be said, a game that I am disappointed not to have won, but hey, 4 points after playing 4 teams who finished above us last season is a great return so far.
Great second half and on the strength of it we deserved the win. FACT!! Liverpool were hanging on for dear life and couldn't even get the ball for long periods. Whatever Michael Laudrup said at half time certainly worked and all credit to Jonjo Shelvey for battling back and setting up the equaliser. I believe the second half possession stat was 70% to 30% in our favour which was a fair reflection of the pressure we put them under. There was only one team that was going on to win but we couldn't put them away. And let's not forget that this was against a team chock full of confidence, top of the table who hadn't conceded a goal. Well done Swans. You deserved better but a point will do. Now for Valencia.
