But that's down to fans personal choice, if people want to 'support' these other teams then it's their loss. I think that sustained PL status for us will slowly kill off fans of other clubs in the City. It'll become the norm for people from Hull to support our club which is how it should've been in the first place. But even so, getting a packed out stadium wouldn't be enough to pay for player wages, transfers, agents fees etc. And if we want to expand the stadium, who'll pay for that? If AA isn't going to put any more money in then fine, but we definitely need money coming in from somewhere.
That comes with time. People wont come flooding back just because we've reached the PL. For the size of Hull and its surroundings we should be able to achieve 40,000 at our home games no problem, however we would need a decent cup run, challenging for Europe (through the cups rather than league position I would imagine) etc just to expand the KC to 30k! As it stands there just isn't the demand.
If we are to establish ourselves as a serious long term contender in the Prem its obvious that we are going to need additional deep-pocketed investors behind the Club. I don't think we can expect the Allams to do much more than they have already done financially. Asia is the obvious source of that funding since the Tiger is hugely symbolic over there and central to the current marketing/name change campaign. I'm sure there is some real substance behind the current rumours. I hope so.
The foundation of a strong club is a strong local fanbase- apart from profit and probability of silverware that is what attracts foreign investment. We've never been better placed to marginalise and embarrass any remaining loons who wilfully pick non local football teams over their own backyard Premiership club. There was (almost) an excuse in the 70s, 80s and 90s- not any more. If AA is giving money to the Children's University surely he can find a way to be similarly benevolent to this city's schookids (and get them hooked for life?) Wouldn't it be great on Boxing Day against Man U to see our part of the North Stand packed with local schoolkids given the Christmas present of a lifetime rather than opportunistic gloryhunting local adults?
You keep on saying that about the Tiger and it's connections with Asia, but success is the only thing that enables you to market yourself outside of your City/ area. And we haven't got that. Red is a lucky colour in Asia, but nobody is lining up to buy Rotherham, Barnsley or York.
Fantastic idea in my opinion. In fact, I'd consider having no general sale and dishing out the tickets to just school kids. Good long term investment too.
Luton have their original name. And a trophy cabinet, come to think of it. We are a nothing club, soon to be a soulless nothing club. Face it, Lloydy, we're a dead club walking.
No, because i guess you'd put me in that glory supporting category. Just because i had to stop renewing my season ticket a few seasons ago due to money and time restraint. I now mainly rely on the odd ticket as a present. Why do people insist on putting supporters in to categories of life long season ticket holder never missed a game or opportunistic glory supporter.
Insecurity! Easier for the small minded to put people into categories; they can then apply stereo-types without having to think.

I hope Mr Chow takes us over then at least we could have a few laughs as our history is washed down the ****ter

Ah, so it's like categories you find acceptable and categories you don't. Fair enough, as long as we're clear.
