Russia is still to all intents and purposes a commie state still. I know Russians and have been there to see it for my own eyes. It's a police state where you can't fart without the FSB knowing what you had for tea.
Perhaps wasn't my finest moment either, wading into a heavy convo that I admittedly know little about.
