I have been over this many times on GC, search there and you will find me detail why all the actors involved are involved. And I try to read articles from people on the ground in Syria. The mainstream media is being drip fed propaganda by the "Syrian Observatory for Human Rights", which is actually one man in an attic in Coventry. No joke
Jacky is actually canny clever on all this mind.....A clever mag, whatever next Just something that has narked me tonight....Back to cheesy chips... Squid...i love eating squid, do you flog it at your chippy? (not with a whip)
Not particluarly. Not his fault that Syria was growing a very stable economy that did not need world bank finance while continuing to be a thorn in the side of every American backed regime in the region, obviously that could not continue. Let's not forget, Syrian security personnel were the first people to die in this conflict. Peace missiles democracybombs don't solve anything. It's something else when we can actually say Russia have been the only voice of sanity in the whole affair.
Maybe, not until there's full plan on installing a new government, and backup plans. When there's rebel groups funded by Al Qaeda there has to be something firm in place. The civil war could continue for decades if the rebel groups turn on each other not to mention the danger of replacing a dictator with a dictator. A gung ho attitude is not what this situation needs.
Iv actually been following the entire thing every day at work. I'd say iv lost about 20% productivity as a result
They already are turning on eachother. Hundreds dead in the North East as Al Qaeda affiliates have turned on the Kurdish elements. They are now turning on the western vetted elements likening them to the "awakening councils" America set up in Iraq to combat the insurgency. In a few months all Assad will have to do is sit back and watch the "rebel" movement implode
Just shows how much more complicated it is then simply overthrowing Assad. To take him out at the moment could be disastrous.
It's **** all to do with the Yanks. Who the hell elected them World police I don't know. They need to be putting pressure on the UN and work with them like everybody else should instead of trying to rally the world into joining them in taking the law into their own hands... Again.
The rebels could well do, but that doesnt fit with the strategic interests of alot of countries involved in the shadows. America was quite happy to sit back when the rebels were gaining ground, now all of a sudden there is this rush to militarily support them and prevent them from being wiped out. Its funny there were chemical attacks in Aleppo, in which 24 troops were killed, which Assad was crying out for the UN to investigate. The investigation was stalled and delayed continued as America kept throwing in diplomatic hurdles and querying the scope of the investigation. The inspectors arrive and suddenly there is this massive chemical attack supposedly carried out by the government against all logic. The inspectors go to investigate but come under sniper fire in a rebel held area and have to abandon their attempt for the day, allowing alot of time for evidence to degrade/be cleansed/be planted etc. When they finish their time in Ghouta America start threatening to rain in the missiles forcing the inspectors to get out of the country ....... they never make it to Aleppo. Convenient. Also there is this http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/05/30/us-syria-crisis-turkey-idUSBRE94T0YO20130530 Those chemical materials they were found with was Sarin. They were found in possession of a 2kg canister of the stuff and were in the process of trying to procure up to 10 tonnes of the stuff
Know idea., but everyone likes the Israelis. If they went in, I it would do wonders for stability in the region.
Need America to take out the air defences. A few sorties in the night with the element of surprise they can get away with but Syria now has S300 and possible S400 anti-air systems. For this reason the last Israeli strike was done with a Dolphin class sub. They are now very wary of sending in the planes.
Really No this silly divide and conquer game of playing the Shi'ites off against the Sunnis would do wonders for stability in the region
Enough said now..... Other posters will be bored of this. Been informative thanks.. Time to close it.i think.
