Liverpool are moving the ball a lot better than us and our balls into the box need to be a lot better - this could well be 3-3 (he hopes)

    Seriously??

Liverpool midfield have dominated yours - Coutinho pulling all the strings.

Don't get me started on Nathan Dire. Time for him to leave. Not good enough for the level we want to be at now. Didn't impress me last season, and been his usual crap self tonight.

Shelvey should've been off imo. There's no way he can mentally shake off those two goals. I'm probably wrong though

Then why have we made more attempts at goal and with that, they are genuine attempts. Also with two of their attempts being gifted it would suggest Countinho has done less in the final third than the stats show. We have 9/5 and they have 8/4.

Liverpool just that much sharper and more accurate than us right now. We are matching them on possession but ours is more deliberate giving them time to organise. They are quicker and more likely to catch us on the break than we will them.

Jonjo has gifted them two goals and might well be replaced but maybe Laudrup will figure it will damage his confidence so keep him on. Tiendalli with his better pace is also a possibility for Rangel who is struggling against Moses. That said, our entire defence is generally looking fragile against the pace and movement they are facing.

We have applied our own pressure and with a bit of luck could be on terms. Liverpool don't look great at the back either but we have it all too do now. Liverpool can now sit and look to hit us on the break and the next goal is vital. We'll do well to salvage a draw but we do need to take it to them as we looked good when we did. But beware of the fast break because we don't have the pace at the back to deal with it.
