Playing Spurs away and Man U at home might have a lot to do with that.... They completely outplayed WBA in the one winnable game they've had. Tonight is very much winnable for Swansea and I think/hope they'll win. (On paper) Liverpool's fixture list in September/October is laughably easy and this is the best chance they'll drop points for ages IMO.
They did pretty well against the aforementioned last season, 1-1 draw with Manure. I know what you mean though. Hope Liverpool drop some points too as I said.
Liverpool have started well, but I think the test for them will come in how well they respond when they lose a game. Also at the moment they are relying on Sturridge to win their games, if he doesn't do the job for them then they could struggle, but it's early days yet to be making any long term predictions
The best scenario is Sturridge keeps his place when Suarez comes back, and Rodgers can't make them work together. Imagine the Suarez of the transfer window and add to that the insult of your manager viewing you as second fiddle to Sturridge . That would be a guaranteed transfer request for January.
If Liverpool can keep Sturridge and Suarez fit and on form, they can consider themselves possible contenders, and definite contenders for the top 4.
I also think Liverpool will be in top 4 - they are a team which hasnt changed their coach and the core is pretty much the same with some great additions. They also got a nice combo of technique and power.
