SWP doesn't offer genuine pace on the wings as he always cuts inside and stops

I class Faurlin as a DCM, hes the type that can sit as well as take play the other way. Barton is also a tackler as well. Both should be fine there. Its not like were playing a player like Taarabt or Kranjcar there.

The 2 CMs in a 4231 have to go both ways (ooeer) and Henry clearly doesnt do that.

Then does a 360 and falls over or shoots into the 2 defenders closing him down. His brain literally cannot keep up with his running which would be funny to watch if he didnt play for us.

What's the point guys? You're making yourself look silly by incessantly whinging about a player who's been playing well, and actually improved us at the weekend. What's the agenda?!

As for midfielders, I completely agree with Nuts. Henry has been performing well- better than both Jenas and Faurlin (Swindon, urgh). There's no way he should've been dropped at the weekend, and Barton badly missed his presence. Henry is ideal for the championship, and his defensive abilities have greatly contributed to our clean sheets of late. We could've been 2 down at half time!

Us being bad in the first half was the formation and zamora, not the lack of henry.

When we seen the fire marshall walking on with his bucket of sand, I turned to 999's and said, there you go, we have a nixer for you.

We played Henry and Zamora until the 83rd minute in a 442 Vs Ipswich, and played some decent football at times. Henry and Barton have formed a good partnership- we'd do well to build our team around it.
Can you tell me when Jenas and Faurlin have played well this season?

They've hardly played this season and haven't played at all in a 4231.

If they're not being played it's because they're not performing in training- which has certainly looked the case during the limited moments they've got on the pitch. Jenas is essentially non-existent for much of the time he plays (although there was that goal he gave away Vs Swindon).

We've already got a ready-made "2" for a 4231 in Barton and Henry, why change that? Make the front 4 an exciting attacking mix, keep the back 6 solid to maintain our clean sheets. Henry's passed incisively and well so far anyway, his whole game has been on point.

I would change Henry for the simple reason that Faurlin and Jenas are better players. He has not let us down when he has played, but he just doesn't look comfortable on the ball to me. I think Derry is a better player than Henry, although probably past it now.

He didn't look comfortable on the opening game of the season, but since then he's been fine. Saying point-blank that Jenas and Faurlin are "better players" doesn't take into account how they're playing currently. Faurlin is my favourite QPR player, but he's never been the same since his injury. Jenas has never impressed since he arrived in January, I wish he'd gone to Hull over summer to be honest.

They're both more talented than Henry, but neither are playing as well as him (nor have they for a long time).

This is the championship, it's absolutely Henry's Bread+Butter, he's said in interviews how much he loves the rough attritional nature of games. J+F aren't as suited to this league (I know F was decent a couple of seasons ago, but he's lost a yard of pace, + isn't the same player).

I'll take how I've seen the players perform over the long term rather than a handful of games, even then henry was terrible for the first couple of games.

Give them five to ten games, then play henry if they don't perform.

So break up a team currently performing to stick in a few players with bigger name? That's very much from the Mark Hughes school of management. Faurlin literally hasn't performed since he missed that header V Tottenham away last season. Jenas has never performed for us, and clearly wasn't performing for spurs beforehand- or they wouldn't have sold him.

But OK, taking Bobby Zamora's career as a whole...he's been decent! Lets start him on Wednesday?

Zamora hasn't played the whole of his career with a crippling hip injury.

Henry didn't even play the last game, Carroll did. So bringing in henry would do the exact same thing you are against, breaking up a winning team.

Faurlin hasn't played all his career with carbon fibre in his knee.

Saturday was the worst performance of the season, and we didn't deserve to win. 2-0 Brum at half time wouldn't have flattered them. I said "break up a team currently performing" rather than "currently winning". The team that's currently performing, is one that includes Henry.

Kranjcar played for the Eds today, so I can't see him being available. Fortunately I think that means Henry will be back in the side on Wednesday.

I hope not because I'm going to be there.

Saturday was down to the formation and zamora, wed look better with a 4231 and anyone playing in midfield. However henry is the worst of the choices.

My bet is that redknapps head is still stuck in the sand and he took off Zamora so he could start on weds.

 I hope not, i'll be there too!

When everyone's fit, this will eventually be our best team in a 4231 in my opinion:

    Green

    Simpson Onouha Dunne BAE

    Barton Henry

    M.Phillips Kranjcar Hoillet

    Austin

That's the team Grifter, 100% spot on.

I can't believe that some want Faurlin to play instead of Henry, it's a non contest at the moment which Henry wins hands down. And that is coming from someone who love Faurlin and have loathed Henry before he joined.

Isn't that the team we sat down and picked after the game on Saturday Norway? It's the exact same line-up and formation too.
