I can hardly bring myself to write this but for those that weren't at /couldn't get to the match here goes.

First half started reasonably brightly in a very quiet HP but quickly deteriorated into a very forgettable 45 mins. Reid (i think) hit the bar but was offside anyway and Wycombe also managed to find the frame of the goal. Made the mistake of saying to my son after 15 mins that we should easily win this and he reminded me that we hadn't seen us lose yet this season-blame us.

Second half also started okay but 5 mins in we ran out of ideas. First goal was a class strike -but he was given loads of room to get a shot away. Luke M had no chance. Second goal looked offside but I haven't seen a replay and as I sit in block 11 the angle may have deceived me. Third goal was a sublime chip over the keeper's head having been played through when we were apparently trying to push forward. (or had we just given up by then?) . Don't think we had a serious shot on target.

Wycombe were well organised and had an obvious plan, we weren't and didn't- add in an indifferent ref and we had no chance.

Most worrying aspect was lack of teamwork or spirit, and we seemed to be a bunch of average lower league players without a plan......

I hate to say it but I think this was worse than anything I saw last season (and I went to 30 matches).

Something happened in the tunnel at full time- no clue what but the post match warm-down was cancelled(presumably at the instruction of JS) but the players and officials struggled to get down the tunnel- so much so that the ball boys were sent round the side of the grandstand to exit the pitch.

For what it is worth my MOTM was Connor H who played some good wide passes but TBH I would give it to the groundsman as the pitch looked far to good for this shower to play on!

oh well there is always next week

I've just read your report lyndhurst and I was going to say.....

At today's match it didn't rain. There was a cloud over the grandstand that looked like a crocodile. Report ends.

Well the above were the good bits. I cannot argue with you once again lyndhurst. This really was the worst I have seen in a very very long time of watching poor matches. Had nil nil written all over it at halftime. Both sides were devoid of anything and it was just petering out as a contest. Commented that we always have one bad half and hope that we had just seen it.

If only. Now I'm not sure how this ended 3 - 0 but it did. Wycombe were not very good. Argyle just didn't turn up for the second half. Berry was terrible. Alexandra was as bad. Bocco was absent for 90 minutes. In fact the only player in my opinion who tried and did ok was Hourihan. Leaving the keeper out of it who couldn't be blamed for much the rest of them were crap. Brent should give everyone their money back for this one.

Thanks for the reports...i had predicted 0-0...and it looked that way for some time until Argyle gave up..
To think this was worst than last season Mr Sheridan had better start doing his job..
If Sheridan was as good as Lyndhurst and Sensible at reporting..............
    Thanks you 2..

What a disappointment this result was........but even more worrying from what I've read and observed is how Argyle seemed to roll over and die once Wycombe had scored.

I'm not sure if Sheridan took off the right players when substituting, but it probably made no difference seeing it seems to be more of a mental lackness to approaching a home game once dropping behind.

There is something lacking in mid-field, no drive or control.....we keep getting told how Hourihane has played well....but it makes no difference to the end result.

On paper our mid-field of Hourihane, Alessandra, Boco and Bencherif (4-4-2) are at least on par with most Div2 mid-fields if not better.....so why are they running on empty when it matters.

Morgan and Reid can only do so much chasing around.....they need good service from mid-field and at times directly from defence.

Wycombe's goal were good goals.....but they recieved too much space at times to perform.

Sheridan can only tell the players how he want's them to play....the rest is down to their ability to take on board that information and to switch to plan B when required.......have some of these players not got what's required between their ears to be winners.......maybe that is why they are playing in Division Two ?

Not sure GAT, sitting near the back of the Lyndhurst and not being one to leave before the final whistle we are often in the last few to leave the ground. There was definitely something happening that seemed to block the tunnel for a couple of minutes-and the ball boys left via the LH of the grandstand. There were quite a few 'conversations' between argyle players during the match and PASOTI are suggesting 'Trotman and Marvin Morgan were arguing with Ainsworth and the Wycombe bench during a break in play in the second half' tho TBH i didnt see anything. (starting to sound like the arsenal manager).

Yr guess is as good as mine, but if significant am sure the ref will report it to the FA.- of course it could be something as innocent as someone falling down and hurting themselves.......

Ill see what i can find out from a friend of a friend of a friend who knows someone who is close to the brother of someone who works there on a part time basis. Am sure that will get the true story out lol.

One thing I forgot to add in my match report, where was Luke Young?. I know I think he is probably better than he, is but I honestly believe he could play in the championship/Prem. Not even to make the bench is very odd; he would have been the ideal sub to firm up the flaky midfield- personally i think he should be a shoe-in in every starting 11 with this bunch of players.

midfield for me- Boco, Connor H, Young, Bensherrif with Gurrieri as a good replacement for any of them...

I'm sure whatever happened will come out as it usualy does.

It's a pity football is supposed to be played on grass and not paper Plym. I said earlier that the only one who was worth the pay cheque this match was Hourihane. Actually thought Bensheriff was ok as well if honest. The rest pitiful. I read on the Beeb site that Sheridan thought it was an even contest up until the goal. It was but only in so far as both were rubbish. How this match got to be a 3 - 0 result I will never know because neither looked like scoring for most of it. When I went for my customary beer after we were desperately trying to find just one positive out of the game. The room was silent. The only highlight we could find was the crocodile cloud. It was more entertaining watching that as it moved 20 feet across the grandstand roof.

Possibly more likely, there are reports in the papers of antagonism between Sheridan and one of the Wycombe goalscorers during the game with some apparent history between them.

My colleague at work went to the Bristol Rovers game and mentioned that he thought Luke Young improved matters when he came on as a sub in the second half......
