Thinking keeper Ruddy has put on a few extra pound in weight, watching him on tv last night he looked to me a bit slow getting down to the ball , do you think he has started to take over from Grant Holt ,but then again ,these are just my thoughts ,what are yours ?.

Must admit ´cheval blanc´, I thought he looked a bit heavy too, maybe all his time off last year took a bit of a toll. No chance with the first goal but should have done better with the second one.

Agreed - He is looking heavy or perhaps he just doesn't pull off those new goalkeeping colours!

All I will say is, that second Spurs goal is the first error I can remember him making for a very long time! With others having an off-day every now and then, I'm not about to jump on JR's back for one solitary mistake!

Don't think anyone's on JR's back dave. I do think the comment about him putting on weight may have some substance (!); alternatively he maybe hasn't quite recovered the degree of agility he had before his injury last season. Like others, I have the impression he is still a bit below what has become par for him. Roy Hodgson was at the game yesterday, so that error won't have strengthened the case for him getting in ahead of Hart. <ok>

It's not to do with mistakes it's about his weight ,which in due course I suppose will lead to mistakes .

he's not even slightly overweight - the post is clearly just a wind up. he hasn't quite reached the same heights as last season and the year before - yet! remember, he's only played six competitive matches since november. match sharpness is a big issue but he is, imo, our best player

Ruddy is definitely still not 100%. It's pretty obvious his right leg has really suffered - it was a major injury, the sort which will take a few more months before he feels confident with it. As a resul, his kicking has been very poor compared to pre-injury and his movement is a touch restrained. His weight is not an issue, they could sort that out in a couple of weeks.

This is what we do now btw. We are the celebrity fat club of the league. I've already heard some people saying hoopers fat, it's hilarious.

Well, I suppose Holty had to pass the mantle on before he left?
