IMO, Elmo was allowed to make these mistakes last season, we were against lesser opposition so wasnt punished as much, plus we add an extra centre back to mop up his mistakes.

As good as he is going forward, surely we cant allow this to continue. There is a perfectly good argument to suggest he cost us two points on Saturday.

We know full well that Rosie isn't half as good going forward, but at the end of the day, full backs still need to be able to do a certain amount of defending, which Elmo simply isn't interested in doing. I say interested because tracking your man isn't technically difficult, he watches as they pass him!

Personally, I think he needs a rocket up his arse. Drop him for Rosie and tell him he needs to work on his defending to win his place back. No one should be guaranteed a start.

I think for games where we're expected to lose or happy for a draw, play Rosenior but when there's a good chance of us winning play Elmo as he offers much more of an attacking threat.

    Mcg

    Rosie Chester Davies Fig

    Elmo Livermore Huddlestone Quinn

    Aluko Sagbo (when eligible)

That would mean Koren and Brady dropped but I like that team with Brady and Koren as impact subs. I think Graham is ok but if Sagbo can keep his head au think we need to see what he can do

We went for the win on Saturday and it was Elmo who was at fault for their equalising goal. Your logic is already flawed.

    Bruce..

“For their goal, we were ball watching a little bit and their man has run inside Elmohamady.

“We all know he (Elmohamady) is a wing-back, he’s playing at full-back and he hasn’t opened his body up and allowed their man to nip in front of him. When Whittingham gets a chance like that you know he’s going to take it.”

Seems an odd one that, almost an excuse for his mistake because he's being played out of position... So why not just play Rosie there?
