Players are being trotted out on a daily basis to support the manager? Not sure what you actually know about PR but if you have to keep telling everyone all is well it usually means all is not well in reality. What tells me all is well is results and performances and I am not seeing good ones in either of those two fronts right now - or from the latter part of last season either.

As for that last part of your statement, this is a football forum where fans exchange opinions and thoughts about their clubs is it not? Its not a wartime discussion or a home front debate? I'd hate to live in the Stalinist world you obviously prefer to subscribe to, where everyone just agrees with each other for fear of being different. These are just my opinions and not everyone will agree but I accept that but I'm not the one deriding others for having theirs.

So if the reports were out that there was a split in the dressing room would that mean everything is cock on? ****ing hell mate. Our club is really fighting an unwinnable fight with you isn't. Damned if they do damned if they don't MY OPINION is that this club could flourish without fans like you.

As for the last you referance to my last paragraph, well they're my opinions. I don't need you telling what a ****ing forum is. Do I need to put a giant IMO in my signature to remind you that I know it's about opinions? Or do i need to end every post I write with IMO? Or can I trust you have the intelligence to realise everybody knows a debate forum is opinion based and it's made up of such because thats the whole bloody point so there's need to stamp your feet and whine about your right of opinion every time someone disagrees with you.

I DISAGREE WITH YOUR OPINIONS ON THIS MATTER! <doh>

****ing hell this bloke is thick as ****. IMO

We have probably all said that PDC has been a bit too public at times in his criticism of players, and should keep these issues behind closed doors. Now it seems that he's being criticised for keeping whatever is going on with Cabral behind closed doors.

I'm happy to let the manager pick his team.

I'm not weighing in on drinking but smoking... Any professional athlete that smokes is an utter twat.

Steed might have managed over 60 minutes every so often had he not smoked.

Maybe he might have got a second goal.

I'm not particularly against smoking or drinking. One of the GREAT footballers was the Brazilian Socrates, who certainly smoked more than Steed.

That said, if someone says to you that they will offer you a job paying £1.5 million per year but you must follow a few rules including no smoking or drinking at all - you accept the job and the salary - then you must also accept and stick by the rules.

Yes John Hannah was a big mistake, Ken Stott was always the one and the tv series were an abortion of the books, each one merited a film let alone an hour.

Yohan Cruyff smoked over 40 ***s a day all his career. Was he ****e? You may not have smoked or drank but its a fact that many top sportsmen and women both smoke and drink and remain at the head of their sport. I just dont get your point at all?

Cest man you seriously can’t believe what you are typing can you? Smoking causes the airways to become irritated & narrow through inflammation. As a consequence airflow becomes obstructed. I could also mention the long term effects of alveoli dying etc but at the end of the day, smoking has a severe effect on the cardiovascular system meaning an athlete's performance will obviously become impaired to that of someone who doesn’t smoke.

Whats wrong, cant you read too well?

I'll repeat it for you. The greatest footballer in my generation smoked 40+ a day all through his career and was the best footballer on the planet at the same time. As a secondary piece of evidence, George Best was dubbed the 'European Pele' and both smoked and drank copious amounts of alcohol all his life.

Neither of these two were exactly ****e sportsmen btw were they? Or do you contest that as well?

The chances are that those two wouldn't be able to hack the modern game if they lived the way they did then Cest.

No denying they were both special talents but the sport and fitness levels in particular have moved on as a result of diet and training methods. The players they were back then wouldn't cut it now unless they conformed to modern standards.

And with that statement I have finished debating with you mate. Cryuff and Best were 2 of the greatest players ever to play the game and for you to even think this shows a massive lack of knowledge about the game.

Have a think about it and come back to me.
