Both are (were) Beautiful footballers knew when to pass the ball are very Unselfish and at the time play football Like a musketeer time stop or slows down when they have the ball While the opposition runs around like a headless chicken we got our Bobby back

Nobody can be the new Bobby, not even Ozil. There was only one Robert Pires. What a legend.

Bobby and Ozil are 2 totally different players, different positions, style, etc.

Mate I don't think you watch much football Bobby was a baller just like Ozil both attackers
Eye for a pass Incredibly easy on the ball love to pass to their teammates when Bobby was with us he was the KING of assist!
Style and etc exactly the same class!
One of the most elegant players you're likely to see that season when he won player of the year was the first time in my life I went to every game we played in the league just a shame he got injured.

I don't think it's you who watches or knows much about football, Ozil and Pires are DIFFERENT TYPE PLAYERS, Pires was a winger, Ozil can play at the wing, but his main area is from midfield where he creates chances.

Plus, Pires was more of a goal scorer, we're not expecting Ozil to score 15+ goals a season for us, would be nice if he did, but we don't expect that, and rather expect him to create goals galore.

Its a weird comparsion because they are both pretty different.

But Ozil is just as talented as Pires. (and this is coming from a massive Pires fanboy)

    There's only 1 Robert Pires.

Ozil has more in common with DB10 than with Pires. They both play centrally, both have insane vision and ball control, both can pick a pass.

Great player that Bobby was he never came close to putting in the miles Ozil does.
    Different players with different skillsets...

Before Bobby came to our team no one would of said he would score 15+ goals.
All that i am saying is that he is a very skill-full player who looks to pass I am not talking about positions or anything am just talking about skill and vision. Fab had Vision in abundance but it a long time since we've had Silky player like this and who knows he does score 8-10 goals a season.
This year he might score 15+ Fingers cross.
Sorry when I said you don't watch much football who am I to say that to anyone that was quite rude.

totally agree - Ozil is number 10 like Bergkamp and Bobby was a number 11. all 3 world class players, and we need more like them.

i think Ozil could finally get Theo to play and score like Bobby/Freddy at a consistent level and he would get 15+ every season

Isn't it funny how Martin Tyler manages to suck so much excitement out of each goal he commentates on? It's as if a family member dies each time the ball hits the back of the net.

tbh I didn't think he was the type of player you needed, you need more of a Viera-esque player as you're a bit weak physically in defence, but he was obviously going to be a step up in class for whoever he replaced, as I knew he would be, that's why he became capt in my FF team the moment he arrived, a snip at £10m

We've got that in Flamini. Guy is fearless, a leader, and has no working brain cells, so he's willing to throw himself about regardless of the damage it could do to him.

Ozil will not be the new Bobby, he will be Mesut Ozil, and will set himself right up there amongst the other Arsenal stars and legends.
